Report a phone call from 08717897890 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ektjaeerWell, its not only about Tmobile. I got a company mobile in Vodafone, and they called me as well...wtf?? it was Direct Telecom btw.they offered some upgrade, but when I've tried to get some details they hang up. No answer on call back.
weird.- Caller: Direct Telecom
- karai'm with orange and i keep getting calls from this number so its not just T-mobile they are getting the info from
- Steve HareThe company is called Docklands Telecom. I took out a contract with them for my girlfriend and tbh, everything has been fine and it was a good deal too. The discount is on the bill, not one of those re-claim shenanigans!
Ta'ra - Colin
- Caller: DTC Phones
- jenithat number has just rang my mobile they was asking for my mum who is jew for a upgrade soon but she is with orange!!!!! not T-mobile. its a big fat con anyway. i dont know how they got my number!!!
- Caller: 08717897890
- richthis number keeps calling me they even said that they ran my contract with the supplier I said I dont think so after an argument I told him my phone is pay as you go they tell lies do not trust them.
- Jon KeelingThis is a genuine company - based in Romford, bought my phone from them last year and they upgraded me this year. 3G network.
- Caller: Direct Telecom (BigMobilePhoneShop.com)
- LeeAdd them to your REJECT List.
get their number off your recent received calls and select add to reject list. Samsung phones do this, don't know about others.- Caller: 1 Second call
- ColinThey have called me several times now and go throught to my ansaphone. Its not only T mobile they want to catch as I am with Orange.
Now I know who they are I will be waiting for them! - vickiI've had 2 calls from them. Have ignored them but i'm with Orange and not due for an upgrade
- Luke BiltonI've had numerous calls from the above number. They're 'Dockland/Direct Telecoms' and they're well documented as having ripped people off. Even down to taking you speaking to them and telling them you're not interested as consent to terminate your current contract and start you on a new (often inferior) tarrif. Avoid these people at all costs!
- Caller: Docklands/Direct Telecoms
- NeilHad this number call me loads saying they were from Orange. THey sid I was due for a loyalty reward. Something was not quite right. I hung up and rung Orange. They said they did not call me. I gave them the number and they did not recognize it. They said they had a few calls from customers saying this company was claiming to be Orange when in fact it was a 3rd party. BEWARE. I am sure they MAY be legit but be aware they are not Orange themselves.
- Jez HarrisJust missed a call a moment ago, did a search and this is the first page I found - hello all. Interesting that everyone seems to be T-Mobile - I'm coming up on the end of an Orange contract and they appear to be after me too...
- DaveThis isn't just T-Mobile, as I have been contacted and I am on Orange. Quickest way to stop them bugging you is to answer the call and ask them to take your number off the list, making it clear you deal only with your mobile phone provider directly.
The important thing to note is just because you missed the call, does not mean it is important enough to call back - if they call you they pay for the call. If you call back, especially on your mobile, the call will cost you quite a bit of money.
If you are due an upgrade, there is no harm listening to their offers - you can always say 'no' and then take that offer with you to your mobile phone provider direct! Use it as a bartering tool. - meJust got a call from them now. First the guy was saying he was from "3" my current provider, and then he said "do you still live at this address???" and gave me my old address which is obvious that three does not have that address anymore as I receive my statements at my new address. I asked where he was calling from and he told me he was from "Dockland Direct", "the company that I bought my contract from". In fact I got my contract online on three website and not with any other company. I moved my number from tmobile to three 2 years ago and don't know, but I guess tmobile sold my details. When I told him I got my phone from 3 and not from Dockland Direct he said he was going to check if I'm eligeble from an upgrade and give a call back. I don't trust them and will not do any bussinss with these guys. (my contract ends next month)
- Andrewjust saw it as a missed call and googled it to find out who it was and found this site, I have an Orange contract that's due for renewal soon, as I work for Carphone WH I doubt they'll be able to do any better!
- Caller: never answered to find out
- DaveThey told me i was due for an upgrade, but didnt know when i'd last upgraded. they told me they could do a better deal for me, but didnt know how much i was paying or what for.
- ninnyI worked for Docklands Telecom very briefly - it was literally the worst job I have ever had - your script requires that you tell the person you are calling that you are calling from whoever their phone provider is, when of course you actually aren't, and then try to get personal information out of them. I have no idea what the actual phone packages they are offering are actually like, but I know one thing: I would never, ever sign up to one. The whole set-up was extremely dodgy - when we were paid ( by cheque) we were all ferried from work on a coach to a one of those cheque changing places so that we could get our cheques cashed instantly - with a fee of 25%... I never did it, they quite clearly owned the cheque place too and were just taking back 25% of everyone's wages... seriously, they're not a nice company!
- Gary HawkinsI work for a corporate tech support team and we have around 1600
mobile connections, with VODAFONE! We were with Orange but not
since June 2004.
on the 19/08/2005 I received confirmation from Jon Burns of
Docklands Telecom that all of our numbers had been removed from
their system.
Then today on 31/08/2005 in the space of 30 minutes both myself
and a colleague were called by none other than Docklands Telecom.
Our numbers are not registered with TPS as the mobiles cover all
departments of the company and to register with TPS would be to
restrict many of our people from carrying out their jobs through
lack of appropriate communication.
Jon's explaination was that the numbers had somehow been
duplicated, despite such an occurence being impossible, and he did
use that word!
Their sales number is 08717897890
Their customer services number is 08700424433
Although the sales line picks up MUCH quicker than the services
line, if you persist you can get through to someone. Although if
you have too much difficulty, Jon is apparently some kind of
customer services manager and his mobile number is 07855333111.
Jon's responses have been prompt on both occasions although this
does not excuse their other downfalls.
I have yet to reach either of the elusive Currans. A response from
either of them on this matter would be welcome.- Caller: Docklands Telecom
