just been hit with a 267 pound bill for apparently calling 09828739994 09828739995 09081022222 09825070008 all of which are premium numbers no one in the house have dailed these numbers and all of the calls where made during midnight bewteen 12 of july to 23 july .. phoned talk talk and they insist that i have to pay the ball as it was dailed from this landline number , there is no way i can afford to play this bill is there any form of action i can take against this

I have exactly the same problem and the bill is for £80 + and I refuse to pay it. This company did the same thing last year using texts and the number was changed, this time they have targeted it by phone calls saying that I have rung them and this company was meant to be blocked as it is my son who used it. Thankfully this time he was actually working when he supposedly made the calls, he is a chef and is not allowed to use the phone and his boss can verify that he didn't make any. However, O2 don't want to know. I am sending them a final letter which is being forwarded on to which.co.uk and watchdog on the BBC. It is very easy to find out where the phone calls were made as they have to trace them back to the telephone mast which is what I have asked for. They told me initially that they would investigate it whilst the line rental was paid but not this sum and not disconnect the phone, but they have. I have also told them that I will sue them in they don't investigate this and tell me where the calls were made from and that there are hundreds of people who are being scammed with these numbers and it is all over the Internet. Just do what I do and don't pay it. With the evidence just on this website and the fact that they are not telling you which mast the phone calls have gone through (which is a legal requirement when there is a dispute) will be enough to beat them in court!

I think you have missed the point. There are a lot of people whose phones have been hacked and that is why we are on here, WE DIDN'T MAKE ANY CALLS!

Please be careful, just had my talktalk bill in and there was a charge on it for £35.39 on 04 May 14 for a premium rate number. Looked up the number on line. Looks like there has been a number of frauds going on. I have now got talktalk to bar all premium rate numbers. Out of interest this one was 09828739994.
In the end Talktalk refunded the money as a good will gesture for me.
