Received a phone call, about 11:30am, from this number. I live in Australia so to get this call from United States was very concerning. They hung up as soon as I answered, however, I was angry about this and concerned about how they got my number.

They keep calling saying that they are calling about my computer

I picked up, and it was just a pre-recorded voice that said "Goodbye."  If I was the paranoid type I'd be hiding under my desk right now.

called me randomly in class and he asked for my name talking about money but i didnt really hear it

Three calls in rapid succession.. no message. All the comments point to one or more scam callers with spoofed Caller ID

The person sounded African

Called at 7:50 am. When I answered it said "this mailbox is full". I pray it does not add charges to my phone bill.

It's called spoofing. They can hide behind local business names and phone numbers. Creeps

This person called me about a grant and said they needed a card info

Caller said Hola, I hung up afraid of an international call.

Never answer unknown number then certainly look them up like 5+ years of users have here.  Autodialer programmers plug this number in so they dont have too be creative and put anything else in. Most of these scammers are not related and use the same spoofed number.
Best practices: Do not answer, do not give any info out voluntarily,  and don't panic is they know anything about you.  They simply bought some data that included some personal information about you.  All phones have the ability to block numbers now - Use it - you aren't missing anything except more scams.

I received a call from +1-000-000 United States.  A woman said it was a follow up call about a problem with my computer.  I said I didn’t have a problem, then she said sh would send m an email to help me “back up” my files on s thumb drive so if I ever lost everything, I would be able to get it all back.  Sounded fishy an her accent sounded like she was from a mid-eastern country.  I am so sick of all these scam calls an wish the government could catch them all.

Called land and cell simitaniuosly.  Data hackers looking to get you to give out more info for their financial gain. From posts here, they do have some info on you already, unfortunately.  Don't answer ever. Evil bunch.  Also call from 10000000000
