1002

i have been getting calls from this number saying that they want to help me find a college, i have asked them about 3 times to take me off their call list. today febuary 28 2011 at about 4:18 WST (Seattle, WA)  they called again. when i asked them to take me off their list the caller said he would only do so if i told him "I love you". i asked what? and he said slowly "i'll only take you off the list if you tell me you love me" i told him he was a sick [***] and hung up.

1002 number, stop calling me!

1002 - reported to the FBI & Fed. Trade Commission - rec'd this number 3 times! A man with a Indian accent. Claims he is from College Search!  Beware  A BIG SCAMMER!  1002 phone number now being investigated!

Have recieved calls on my Cell phone from this number.

Can someone please tell me who 1002 is? they keep acting like a school and i have told them time and time again to stop calling. if there is a way to have them stop calling me please tell me!!! i am tired of them calling me. thanks

+1002 has called me 2 times in the last two months, will not answer call where is are gov. to help us now

Make sure you don't register for anything with your home phone number and if you have a smart phone with Verizon you can download an app called Ringo lite. It is free. You can save that number into your contacts and it will give you the option in the app to send all calls from that number straight to voicemail. Hope it helps!

1002 Has called non-stop. I've been extremely polite. And have asked to be taken off the list. The last time they called I asked for a call back number to talk to a manager and he refused to give me a number or his name. Every time they call they state they are from college search/college board. It's incredibly annoying and I'm quickly losing patients with them.

They call me too. I've got three numbers on my cell phone I can't ID. They are 1002, 1011 and 1004. Same thing happens to me. My phone rings a couple of times and it buzzes "missed call". They never leave a voicemail. Verizon Wireless tell me it might be a telemarketer who doesn't want the number shown and instead allows a 4 digit number to show so it can't be traced. I just don't answer my phone when these numbers show up. Figure they will get tired of no one answering and move on to another number.

I have gotten one call from 1002 yesterday. It showed on my caller ID (out of area 1002). Some guy with a Indian accent asked for me. He new my first name and said he was representing CALLER FINDER. When I asked him who he was, he answered they found me and hung up on me.
I reported it to Customer Security Assurance of my phone provider. Unfortunately they can't do anything. They advised me not to pick up the phone. That's all.

hey, just read your post. DON'T WORRY!  I got 5 calls from this number and finally called my phone company and they told me it's a prank.  Just DON'T ANSWER!  If you've been to any job search or college search websites, they have your info. BUT JUST IGNORE IT!   It freaked me out too, being single female, but it's ok :-)

what i did was, add them to your contact list on your phone and under options click send to voicemail. every time they try to call it automatically sends them to the vm and you never hear the call. its so nice

I would like these calls to stop. I'm getting weird calls from a number 1002.

Someone call me from 1002 number....I picked up my cell and the guy verify my name, phone number, city, and my zip code where I live. I asked him how he knew my number. He said, I sign up for something????  Everything that he verifies was correct!!! OMG! I was kind na scary.... He sound like an Indian guy...So I asked for his First and Last name? Shaun Clark. Where he calling from? New York, and why is he calling me? he said, he with College something, and he try to helped me to qualified for Grand money so I don't have to play back after I finish my school. He told me how to answer the question that I would be qualified for Grand or scholarship. Than he asked me for my address so that he can send me the good information about grand money. When he asked me for my address...I hang up the phone, then he called me the second time but I didn't answer!!!

What is this number for????

i've been getting the same number (1002) calling me too ! Before i answered twice cuz it was unknown , first time it was an indian man and he asked me what grade i was in and i said 11th and he said oh you do not qualify . Then the second time it was an indian lady and she was really sweet . she asked me what grade i was in and if i would like to get scholarships and enroll in any medical schools. i told her i would be interested when i graduate from school , and the lady said oh you havent graduated. so i said yea i havent, im sorry and she said oh its fine, i'll call you when you graduate. idk, i didnt answer now cuz its a 1002 # . im scarred. fantastic .

I've been getting calls from this number at least once a day, for the last 6 days.  I won't pick up, they never leave a message.
