Just had a call on my mobile from the number +1111. Anybody any ideas as to who or what this might be?

Ya it was someone from India. I think its one of those long distance savings companies?

I receive text messages from this marketing services company everyday on behalf of their clients. After complaining to Vodafone, they gave me the details of the company using the number 1111.

The number given by Vodafone to contact is actually 08712230000. Their customer services said that the company is using a short number to send SMS & calls.

I got a call from 1111 today and the guy couldnt speak english every well, sounded Asian, not entirely sure.  Said he was from some medical company and need to verify I was a senior citizen?  (I am not even close)  I hung up before I said anymore than no.

Very suspicious.

i got a call from +1111 on my vodafone mobile number some 10 times and it started from morning 6 a.m.i was wondering who might call me in so early morning from such a strange number.so i didnt pick up.

i also got a call on my GSM reliance numer 5 times at night who r calling from that number any one have idea about this..plz share it

I got a call from 1111 early this morning but I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message and haven't called back yet.  Thanks for the info.

I also have recieved txt messages over the last three years and always when the date adds up to 1111 like I just recieved one yesterday 11 jan 2011 for many years I have followed an interesting spiritual site called the 11.11 the Nvisible, after seeing so often on digital clocks etc 11.11 and I find it amazing uplifting and insightful, it is a wake up call to the lightworkers of this world, so I truly enjoy recieving these unknown txt where all it says is message cannot be displayed!! So a bit of food for thought from another level of thinking!

Reading some of the above it looks like the calls are usually early in the morning & recieved on vodafones ? yeaahh i got my call at 7am .. but my phone is optus , i tried calling bck butt , it said the number was incomplete or incorrect . it really wierd .. anymore thoughts on the topic ?

They called me twice with a 2 minute gap in between each call. The call was from some guy stating that he was calling from a law office of some place claiming that they had a law suit on me for a personal loan. Then he proceeded to ask me for my social security number. lol...His Indian accent along with the background noise confirmed that this call was a scam so I played a little game with him at first mocking every word he said. That didn't continue on for very long as my crappy phone service hung up on him before I had the chance to. These guys are jokers, just put them on your block list.

Also, the number they left on my voicemail was 218-234-2554. They claim to be paralegals from the law office of Russel Norum and are calling in regards to a law suit that they have based on a personal loan. They attempt to intimidate people into giving them their social security number which of course they could eventually use against you shortly after. Every operator at this call center that I spoke with was Middle Eastern with heavy Middle Eastern accents yet they all possess American names such as Charlie Brown, Alec Wilson, John Anderson etc. Yes those are the names I was given each time I called from an anonymous phone line. In the background I could hear several other operators with the same accents making the same exact call to other innocent civilians. They leave detailed messages threatening people saying that "Their information is time sensitive and if their call is not returned within the next 24 hours they wish them luck as the situation would unfold."  Unfold? lmao! Gimme a break!!
