I am in Montreal, but with a cell phone with a Nova Scotia number.  This number has called me twice : once the 19th at 6:08 pm (and I missed the call), and this morning at 10:53 - I did answer but no one spoke so I hung up.

called me today answered but no one there, held on line for 15 seconds then it auto hung up

I just received a call from this number and waited for a response when I said hello, there was none so I hung up and checked the call display.  Anyone figured out wtf this is all about?

Regina SK-this number called me feb 22.  No response when I picked up the Phone.

I am from Ontario and I have received a number of calls from 112-345-6789 and different nights... the last time was tonight Feb 22 at 8:30pm, thought the number was weird and decided to look it up. I have never answered any of the calls and they haven't left any messages

I got that number here today as well. I live in Flin Flon Manitoba Canada...I am curious too?

I live in Ontario.  This number has appeared on my call display about 5 or 6 times in the last week.  I haven't picked it up, though.

I received a call from 1123456789 number today, I didn't pick up the phone but they didn't leave a message. this is very weird, guys! I live in london, ontario and also something strange is some companies call and ask for BOB all the time and there is no BOB living here! gosh I am sick of these sick ***

I live in Montreal and I got a call from 112-345-6789. The phone rang and I did not have time to pick up the phone. I don't know who called and why it called. This sounds suspicious as the NPA 112 is not an area code that I know of.

I got this call,  thick accent, asked if I had permission to make modifications to the phone line. he started talking about long distance, thought it was TELUS(added caller ID the day) and he said No sir I am from Primus Canada. I hung up

Got a call from these people at 16:50 today... checked here first, so I didn't pick up. :)

Just got a call from this number It was a woman with a heavy accent, said she was calling from Sears about long distance program.

Just got a call from 112-345-6789 at 8:20 p.m. I live in Winnipeg. I subscribe to Shaw phone and they have free call block. Once I answered the phone and they hung up on me....I simply blocked them by dialing *60 and then #01#. This blocks the last incoming call. (Shaw subscribers only) Great feature.....no more annoying calls from these idiots!

I just got a call from this number on my Cel Phone (Vancouver, BC)

So of course i call the number back and this is the auto-message that played:

"you have reached 2123456789. This is a non working number. We have been informed that someone has been using this number as a false caller ID and making calls to Canadian Residents seeking personal information. We have reported this to the authorities. If u have received such a call plz contact phone busters at 8884958501 to report this incidence & for assitance. thank you"

It was a telemarketer from Hudson Bay Co.
My number is unlisted, but I get these calls all the time.

number called asked for my husband.  Caller had thick mid eastern accent.  I said no and they hung up.  the number did not come up in the reverse look up.  Don't answer it, most likely telemarketers.

I live outside Montreal and I got the same number on my call display (112-345-6789) at 3:45 today march 5th and yesterday march 4th at 3:53. I've been getting close to 23 new calls a day for the past month and most of them come from unidentified callers. I don't answer anymore unless I know who the caller is. It's too frustrating. I work from home and hear the phone ring from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. I'm going completely crazy. We're in the Fund Rasing season it seems and everyone is calling. Who's giving them our phone numbers?????

They've just called again. March 6th 10:02, I answered this time and apparently it's HBC selling a long distance plan and I told her I'm not interested. I've asked her about the phone number and she said a lot people inquire about this and her answer was that it's because it's an automated dialer number, and not to worry about it. I don't think we should NOT worry about it though seeing how it can not be traced. I will contact HBC to verify this.

UPDATE: I've called HBC and they are not aware of this number. THey are going to investigate further... I've also lodged a complaint to Phone Busters on their web site www.recol.ca.

Being from Québec I always get communications in french whenever telemarketers call here. This lady asked for me by my first name and spoke in english.
