112-345-6789

Keep getting a call from this number. I will not answer it. Just shows the number no Id. Looked through the phone listings for area codes and couldn't find it. Also went to the Canada 411 website and did a reversal number and just got a message that I need a valid area code. Don't know where this number is coming from but will not answer it.

I got this call at 8:42pm in Alberta.  I answered and there was silence and then a click.  I would be very interested to know who this is and what is going on.

Three calls to my Sudbury, ONT phone so far from this number, usually around 10:00 am. They never leave a message and nobody here picks up long distance "Unknown name" calls, so no idea what the calls are about but I agree with "Todd - 1 Feb 2008" about his telemarketing phishing theory.

I've been recieving calls from the 112-345-6789 number as well. I just received one not too long ago.  I say hello, no one answers.  I swear at them, still no answer.  It's so annoying!  Is there something we can do, other than blocking the number?  I'm Toronto.

Got a hang up call, no message left, hit * 69 and got 112 345 6789.
I believe 1 then 12 is long distance and 12 is for England?
What kind of scams are these?
Hate these scammers, we pay enough for phone bills, and unlist our numbers, why can't they be stopped?

I also live in Ontario, Canada.  Have been receiving phone calls from 312-345-6789 and the one time I answered, they hung up.  Since I don't know anyone from Chicago (312 area code), I wanted to know where the call came from.

Is there anything we can do?

Received a call Mar. 13/08,  when answered there was no reply so hung up immediately.

I am after receiving two such calls but wasn't home to answer.Now when that number shows I won't answer for sure. I'm from Newfoundland.

I've got 9 of these calls so far.
I spoke with Bell Canada about it.
They suggested visit the Canadian Marketing Assoc. web site www.the-cma.org and sign up for the "Do Not Contact Service" program.
It is free but may take 6 weeks to apply.
Other than that $5 a month for Bell's Call Screen service.
Where you can block up to 12 numbers.
The thing is that your caller ID shows 1234567890, but that is a spoof.
The real number can be blocked when you use Bell's Call Screen service.
It is an automatic system, as soon as you get off the phone with one of these calls you dial *60 and enter a few other kyes.
This is supose to catch the real caller's number in the network.
So they tell me...
I wonder how many people are going to pay $5 extra for this service monthy over the next while?
I don't think Bell is going to be too concerned about more people siging up for new services.

I received a call from this number March 19th, 2008 at 10:30 am.. didn't answer because I was suspicious about the number. Very concerned about how many others are receiving these calls too. Wonder what's going on?

Keep getting calls from 112-345-6789.  How could they generate a fake call-id?

Received a call on March 19th from area code 112-345-6789 at 8:45PM.  I live in Vancouver.  Picked up, hear two clicks, and the call ended.  Strange, but thought I'd add my incident to this forum.

Received calls from 1 112-345-6789...I don't pick it up and they don't leave a message.  I live in Nova Scotia.  The most recent was March 20. 08.

Re:Mark above (no pund intended), Yeh Ma Bell loves those extra "service fees", Maybe there behind these suspisious numbers. Rosanna don't sweat it, just dumb ass telemarketers or Bell Canada...LOL..but could be Bell Canada, they still charge 2.50$ for touch tone. Hum, can you even buy a rotory phone...LOL

recieved 2 calls today and many others before, i live in nova scotia, i can *69 the number the first one taday was at about 11:50 am and it was 111-342-6755, no one answered my hello.....next one was at about 12:02pm, *69 number was 112-345-6789, guy saud he was Dave so and so calling from a company i never heard of asked him to repeat his name and company, he did so but was even more unclear, i said "i don't know you ,i'm not talking to you and good bye and hung up.  anybody know wtf is going on?????  i am going to try and report this to my phone company and see if they have any answers.  i too have at least 4 or5messages on my answering machine every week and it is just dial tones.

Must be computer dialed number. Often get calls from this number. Sometimes no answer sometimes male voice with very strong accent. Just ignore them is my advice. They never leave message if you don't pick up. Probably looking for active phone numbers to sell.

112-345-6789 They called at 8:55pm last night, it was HBC Zellers, would not speak to me only my wife. If it's HBC you can call T/F 1-866-225- 8251 to be removed...I called today they said it could take up to 48 hrs

I receive calls almost everyday from either 112-345-6789 ,212-345-6789 , 312-345-6789 ,412-345-6789 , and also 512-345-6789.What's up with this? No message ever left.
