why do idiots send a fax down a mobile phone line as this made a terrible fax - like screeching sound!

That's the number for the talking clock.

Called today. They hung up when I answered.  Bound to be another load of cr*p from those call centres.

Called 5 times and kept hanging up on picking up

Idiots I rang to find out if it was clock no it was idiot blowing rasberries on about comic relief beware!!!?????

Dozens of calls every month on my husband's cell

I had a call from +123.  I answered "Hello."  There was no response, and they hung up after about 4 seconds.

I found out the hard way, that the 123 number, here in Australia, connects to an internet directory service that charges you about $3.80 Au for the call. I can search the internet myself for a lot less than that. My provider reimbursed my costs as their directory assistance recommended I call the 123 service but didn't tell me about the costs.
Avoid it unless you need internet search from a landline I'd say.

I keep getting calls from 123 and only answered it once by accident. Is my phone gonna save? Was it a scam or what? I’m scared of they tapped my phone or do something bad because I did answer their call once.

Probably nothing worse than just getting more calls.
