I just got a text from them and it said, "hi :P I took ur number from my friend, I bet u can't guess who this is! I'm shy.. u can find me online, my page is hangouthop.org."
I'm really freakin tired of spam texts!

Also, if you have Sprint I heard they sell their numbers to companies.

So I got the same text from a 1234 number.  Just to let you know, Sprint does NOT sell phone numbers.  This message is probably produced by a computer that randomely generates numbers.  Just ignore the message.  If it is costing you off your texts, make sure to call Sprint customer service and report it.  DO NOT respond to the text as it will not go through and you don't want to waiste any texts to respond to something so juvenile.  It is [***], but that is what happens when you mix technology with retardedly lonesome geeks who have no lives.

I get text messages from the number 1234.  When I reply back, it says "The recipient you are sending to has chosen not to receive messages.  Msg 2111"  What does this mean and who is sending me the messages?

Just got the same text stating:
"Hello, I took your number off my friend, I bet you cant guess who I am!, I'm shy..look me up online my profile is dating-rick.com"

I just researched the number found this post, posted a comment and now I will delete the text and ignore any future text from them and will contact my cell carrier and ask them to block as they have in the past and call it a day!

The text I got said "Dear FedChoice Federal Credit Union customer, we regret to inform you that we had to lock your bank account access. Call 201-620-6323 to restore your account"

I received the same text as a lot of people posting comments.....it's idiotic and a pain in the a*& but what can you do? Block the senders number and u should be OK other than that just ignore it

Seriously, people... here's what is happening:

They send you a text that makes you go the website they list, because you HAVE to see what the hell it is, and then they want you to sign up at the dating website you are referred to, in order to find out who this person is.  Well, guess what?  You will never find out, because the person sending the text is only interested in collecting the commission they earn through the dating website when you sign up.  They aren't a real person looking for love.  They don't know who you are.  They don't care, either, because they know by spamming thousands of people, they are going to be earning money in the form of affiliate commissions.  So just stop whining about it, and delete the message, because that's all you can do.

Also, if you have sprint, send a text message to # 9999.  The body of the message should say "block 1234".  Sprint will then block all future messages from that number.

I recieved a text message from this " 1234 " character, and the text stated the following. [ I took your number off a friend, I bet you can't guess who I am!Haha, I'm too shy.., Look me up online, my page is Date-O Place ] I have no knowledge of this individual, and when I attempted to text back to this person, I recieved no answer from this individual but I did recieve a message stating that the recipient you are sending to has chosen not to recieve messages. That strikes me as odd behavior, to say the least./

I just received a text from 1234 saying heyy i took your number from a friend, i bet you can't guess who i am! haha i'm so shy... check me out online, my page is date-oplace.net.I also tried to text back saying who is this and it said (from 9230) that person chosen not to receive messages msg.2111.  please try to find out who these ppl are......
