They freaking texted my phone and it pisses me off cause I don't even know them!
They said "Hey I got your number from a friend, betcha can't guess who this is!

Got a text from 1234 saying, heyy:) I took ypur digits off a friend, I bet you won't guess who this is! aww I'm so shy.. look me up online, my profile date0oplace.net

got the same text as everyone else. got your number off a friend etc. I text Sprint at 9999 and said block 1234. I got a text back saying number is blocked. Problem solved. Thank you

Got the same stupid message as everyone else an hour ago.  Blocking w/ 9999 ...just received confirmation that it was blocked.

By the way...notice that everyone's carrier is Sprint?  Coincidence?

Yeah, looks like it's just another scam to steal peoples money. They tell you to contact a randomly chosen bank urgently because of some reason or another. Just a scam to get your private information.
These scam artists are being taken to court due to the Federal Do Not Call Act and they're being prosecuted and fined by the FCC. Looks like instead of spam calling phones they've resorted to spam texting phones. Bunch of [***]. If you want to have some fun, call the number in the text and scream obscenities, it does wonders for the soul.
Also looks like "1234" is a generic phone number for people sending texts via computers. My advice is to block all texts from "1234"

This is sick and very sad that you are willing to possibly destroy marriages at cost of a prank or  to promote a business. I have been married for 30 yrs and this call was very disturbing to both of us.

Hi Gang.
Just to let you know, it's really easy to fake or 'spoof' an originating text number, so it looks like '1234'or anything you want. Lots of websites let you do it. Some have good behaviour policies like this one http://www.textfromwho.com while others are like the wild west (I won't mention them by name for saety reasons). So don't be too upset as it's easy to do. No mystery.

My advice is to ignore them and eventually they will get bored and move on. This is more easily said than done I know but the more you react the more you give them what they want and the longer they will bother you. Its like an itch you mustn't scratch - eventually it gives up itching. Ever notice that?

Hey, I just got a phone call to my landline from 1234, it rang twice and i missed it at 23:30 and thats pretty late to be calling people.. Any ideas what it is? or how to find out who called?
