Demanding to see original license key from the box for a laptop I purchased from HP in USA back in 2015.
Also demanded to know my email id.

It is illegal to demand private software license keys purchased from official Microsoft Retailers but these people are demanding it and threatening if we do not give them the Windows 7 and Windows 8 keys.

This is very fishy, Microsoft EULA never says that we should be ready to give keys to people who claim to be from Microsoft that too on demand. Is this something that should be reported to Cyber Crime Cell in Gurgaon? My worry is that our official Keys could be given to software pirates who can then misuse their systems for illegal/unethical activity.

I too got a call from 0124 - 6759000. They told me that they are calling from Microsoft Compliance Team. I verified it and called back on their no. It's correct. Its Microsoft Compliance team which conducts audit in companies.
Be aware, I faced their harassment as Microsoft people come in my company as pwc came into my company to conduct audit.

Am also getting calls and they said " they will come to my office for audit".  Each house having one system . And in online so many keys and license also available. What's the solution for this. Help me.

First Question: how do they manage to get Personal number of  person ? Something very fishy - they are calling random people and possible fake guys. How do they know that someone is using a Pirated version of Microsoft.
