- sx| 1 replyhe sais from telstra, and told me reference number!
- JessicaI just had that phone call too. I don't even have an account with Telstra/Bigpond!
- Brenthey there. yeah i used to work for telstra in the call centre.
they called me asking for my password and to confirm my details so i said no. he gave me a number to call back. i tried googling the number and came across this which made me really suss... BUT i just called the normal telstra phone number for billing and it turns out i had an overdue bill. so it was legit.
just make sure when you call back, you dont ring the number they give you - you actually call the standard telstra number. 132200.- Caller: Telstra
- NaomiGot a call today from them too. Didn't trust to give my personal details out to someone calling me..so they told me it was very urgent and to call back on 1800816025 and gave me a reference number.
I googled the number they gave me and i found this site. I called telstra back on 132200, not the number they gave me..just to be sure it was telstra. I spoke to someone in enquiries and told them about the call and gave them the number. THe lady looked it up and said yes it was a call from their credit management department and then put me through to them.
So yes it is a ligitimate number..and they usually call u from this number when u have an outstanding bill to pay.- Caller: Telstra
- carly replies to sxits credit management
- Steveanother f******n scam... I got a sms about me bill. Was a load of crap
- Caller: telstra
- Call type: Text message
- ZaccActually it IS a scam, either way, i did call the number they gave me and for a 1 and a half minute phonecall it cost me $12. thing is it IS telstas credit team, but what the hell kind of companys Credit team, who primarily would deal with people who are having problems paying thier bill would charge someone 8dollars a minute?? it just gross.
- Caller: Telstra

- DabugYes, I just got a call then. Man with an Indian accent asking to speak to the account holder. As I wasn't the account holder he said to get the account holder (named them correctly) to call him back re: credit management. This rang alarm bells as the reason would not have been stated if I wasn't the account holder.
He identified himself as being from Telstra.
Googled the number 1800816025 and got this. They won't be hearing from me. Scammers these days, I'd give this one a 6 out of 10. Rudimentary errors, but nearly got me.- Caller: Telstra
- Call type: Debt collector
- Justintook unsolicitied call from Blocked number. She said she was from Telstra Credit Manangement and asked for me to identify myself with opersonal info.
I declined as she was not able to substantiate that she was from Telstra.
She said I could call back on 1800816025. I called the regular Telstra numer and they said there was no reason for Telstra to be calling me re Credit Manangement.
This appears to be a SCAM. Beware of giving personal inbto over the phone- Caller: Telstra?? or SCAMMER
- Call type: Prank
- AnonymI got a message from our receptionist for me to call "YOLANDA" at "TELSTRA" and it sounded urgent, and I was to call right away, to 1800-816-025 with a reference number like 1347 495 800 <<<
DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOU ! They are scammers.
I called that number, and it IS A TELSTRA number. However, I spent 35 minutes talking to Telstra, and they have no reference number like the one that I was given to call. So the people calling you ARE NOT FROM TELSTRA, but they are giving out a legitimate Telstra number.....- Caller: They Claim it's TELSTRA but it's not.
- Jake MJaffer - The name of the lady who has called me once a day for the last 2 days. I called the 13 number instead of the 1800 816 025 number they provided me with.
I have an account with Telstra and it is currently due for payment but once calling the real telstra number they took care of it and it was not even a case being delt by their credit team.
I think it was a scam, be careful people.- Caller: Telstra Scam
- Call type: Debt collector
- BernWe have received calls from ablocked number claiming we are behind ( when we arent!) and trying to get us to pay by credit card over the phone. They gave us this number to call back.
I rang telstra of the phone number that appears on my statemnent - i am not behind in my bills and this number is NOT a registered Telstra company number and the man i spoke to was making a report to head management.
SCAM ALERT! - R Fjust had these scam people on the phone one second i owed 300 then it was 208.
so i told them to p--- off - coreyi rang and its a scam, telstra will only ring you on 132200 and it will never be blocked. also this number here is for a government orginisation that will set up a block on your phone for any phone salisitations. 1300792958
- MJG| 2 repliesI just received a call from 1800816025 claiming to be Telstra credit management - the Indian lady said my details had disappeared from her screen and asked me to give her my account number or phone number so she could bring up the details. I asked a few more questions which were poorly answered so i hung up. Then i read this - definitely a scam as the account for my phone belongs to a business and it is up to date.

- Gary replies to MJGSame issue - I just received a call from 1800816025 claiming to be Telstra credit management. Telstra via 132000 and our accounts are all fully paid.
- stew675I got a call from these guys just now. Even just listening to them, I figured it was a scam, and told them so. They said something about a problem with the billing system, and for me to call 1800816025.
I'm willing to bet that 1800816025 is a pay-per-minute number that just forwards people to the correct Telstra Billing Management team number, but the thing is that you'll be paying these scammers many dollars per minute while Telstra puts you on hold and then tries to figure out what's going on. That'll be how the scam works. DO NOT CALL 1800816025. It may appear legit, but it's basically a hijacking scam,- Caller: Unkown

- texJust got one from an Indian bloke. Said he was from Telstra credit management and he needed to know my account number. I queried him, because Telstra would know that info before phoning me. He said they were doing a database update. He told me to still phone 1800816025.
- derbycoJust had same call, indian guy saying they had a system problem and couldnt bring up all my details..i was very suss, then he told me to call back on the 1800 number - which i almost did, just to tell them what I thought of them - glad after reading these posts that i didnt or it still would have ended up costing me!
- ClarkSomeone called me on a blocked number saying that he was from Telstra and wanted to talk to the accounts holder. I told him i was an authorised contact, and asked him what the call was regarding and he said accounts. He asked for my number phone number to verify the account which took him three times to get right and then asked for my name and the account holders name. Then he told me we owed $240 and started talking about credit card payments.
I asked him which month it was for and he said last month and then corrected himself. I told him that i'll call back and what number to call and he gave me this 1800 816 025 number.
Called the account holder and told/asked if he had an overdue bill and he wasnt sure. So i googled the number before giving it to him an found this website.
Called telstra on their offical number and turns out accounts were trying to contact us....- Caller: Private
