This is not a scam. The reference number you are being given are either interaction numbers or SR (service request) numbers. The people you speak to when you call 132200 are consultants that may not have any idea where to find these numbers. 1800816025 is a legitimate Telstra number.

1800816025 is a Genuine Telstra number. its the direct number for Credit Management.

first off i would want to apologize to those customers out there. where the Auto Outbound system calls

them but they dont have a overdue bill. u have to understand overdue accounts are loaded into the system 3

days erlier. so if u have a overdue bill. and made a payment within those 3 days then the Auto outbound

system is still Unloading your account from the database. And Yes calling the 132000  would also put you

trough, it really depends on the customer. when i speak to customers. i always tell them " to confirm if im

speaking to the right person i need your full name and DOB' thats SOP here. and if you feel even slightly

suspicious about the call please just hang up and call us back at the number found on the buttom

    of your monthly bill. =)

This number was on a Telstra bigpond internet bill overdue notice.  I called it to pay the bill, and get some help with a service, and was charged $8.00 on my next mobile phone call.  This is outrageous.  I called Telstra on 137663 I found on their website and they were very unhelpful as my mobile is not with Telstra.

Dialing a 18xxx number from other carriers is a premium service. I complained to Telstra that this was the only number on their bill.  There should be a 13xx (toll free/local call) number or even a local number.  They did nothing.  No credit on my internet bill to offset the cost of dealing with Telstra.  Not even a sorry.  They put me through and it dropped out.

I tried again on 132200 (another Telstra #).  This lady was helpful.  Even credited $50 for the inconvenience.
