I have been charged for premium SMS/MMS that I am not aware of.

Rang Vodafone they said it was a booty call number WTF...............
7.52pm NYE I know for a fact I wasn't using my phone as i was having dinner with my family.
I called the number vodafone gave me, it ended up being a games company, they couldn't give me an explanation as to how they got my number but said they will refund it EFT.
I'm so pissed as the lady i was talking to was rather rude saying "I don't know how you remember that far back?'(forin accent) "I was like omg, it was NYE and you sent me the text and charged me!"
for god sakes these companies are full of idiots.

Just looking at my bill and I got charged $6.60 from the this number as a premium number in November and looking at my messages I got a message from this crowd on 27 December. I have no idea who they are and what they do.  I have never contacted them.

I have received three texts from this number over a few months and have been charged $6.60 for each one. I never signed up for them. Disable "Premium SMS" from your phone settings online to stop receiving message like this. I did this on MyVodafone settings.

Just received unsolicited text from this number. I'd better not be charged for it. I will hunt them down and we'll see who's going to be sending texts from that point!!!!!!

'Latest mobile games updates here' - this is where the URL goes, to a seemingly frozen screen "Games Centre" (http://www.gamecentre.mobi/). I agree with other posts - I instigate a sale or transaction and I don't want to be charged for a seemingly solicitous text for something that I definitely don't need.Vodafone refunded the amount, to their credit. I think it maybe quite prevalent, this 'scam'.

How do i stop the messages and being charged for them. 4 times now. I have our it on ban list but i still get messages

received my phone bill from telstra &6.60 charged from ph no. 19761977, who sent me a text on 21.2.16, i did not reply, where did they get my no. reported to telstra still looking into it, mean time went into telstra store, customer service told me its an app i have on my phone, no its not, told me to ring the 1300 no. to unsuscribe which i did but not confident, how do these people get away with it. How do we stop them.

I have a $6.60 charge on 25 Feb for this number.  If it's a games company, I definitely didn't call them.  If it's an app on my phone, I want to know to delete it.  Simply thieves with no conscience.

The same thing happened to me. I did not ask for anything or answer and had to pay $6.60  for them msg ing me. Rip off. These places should be stopped .

Yeah, me too. But I haven't replied yet. I deleted it straightly after I saw it and just found out I got charged! What is the best way to handle it?

I've been charged too! The message says to opt out text 19761977, I did this, and then message came up on my phone "Messaging would like to send a message to 19761977 … This may cause charges on your mobile account"  I pressed send and the message never sends and comes up with a failed sent message. So how do you opt out? I don't even play games on my phone or the internet at all!

I've phoned Vodafone and they blocked the number and the 1800302038 number that also came up in the message.

After contacting vodafone they credited my account for $6.00.Why would you be charged for something that you didn't use at all. So call your mobile provider and ask for that charge to be removed.
