These scammers know you have a Microsoft computer when you try to install your antivirus. So whatever you do, do not buy your antivirus online. Go buy it in person at the store.

I have been getting this call from this number all too often is there a way to block it from a landline?

received to calls today one from 119917 and one from 19917, no response when I answered ,tried to call back ,,would not go through.

I keep getting calls from 19917 and they do not leave messages when I let it go to answering machine.  How do I find out who the call is coming from

6 calls this morning from this number, plus one New York number, with the same Asian sounding 'Dieter from Windows' at the other end of the line. Except for once when the robot woman said goodbye after a few seconds. Total scam.

I received a call from this bogus number several times I answered it today and he was telling me to get on my computer that I had contacted them about having problems with Microsoft windows. Then I told him that I did not contact them I haven't been on my computer in six months and asked to speak with a supervisor and he froze up and said nothing and then started to cuss at me telling me to F*** you!

Got a call from this number.  Man with heavy Middle Eastern / Indian accent claiming he was with Windows Tech Support.  I hung up on him.  I get similar calls all the time from similar people claiming they are with one of the tech giants (Microsoft, Windows, Apple, Google, etc) - that they're getting error messages from my computer and they need to remote into it to fix the problem.  NEVER allow anyone to remote into your computer.  They're just trying to steal your personal / credit card information or will load a virus onto your computer.  The tech giants NEVER CALL PEOPLE.  They have online message boards to report issues and will push a patch as needed.

I have been receiving calls from this number for two weeks.  However, when I answer, there's no response.  Once I noticed a faint "thank you" in a woman's voice.

I led the guy on for awhile and said wait a min what’s my name again also can you tell me how I’m having this problem when I don’t even own a computer!!!!

I been getting these calls a few times a day,  very annoying.  Definitely a scam of some sort,  so the easiest thing I figured was to block the ###, We'll see what happens
