cell phone call from "2002" saying my VISA gold card had been blocked/deactivated, and to re-activate press "1".  Out of curousity I pressed 1 and then prompted me to enter my 16 digit card #.  I hung up.  Knew it was phishing, and I don't even have a Gold VISA card.

Received a call fron an arrogant Indian guy calling from "UK Home Surveys" early on a sat morning!. When I said this number is registered with TPS and insisted the number be removed from the data base with immediate effect, he harped on about how he's "never heard about this TPS". I hung up after repeating it 3 times...

call from "2002" today claiming to be wells fargo and my debit card had been locked.  Asked me to press one to reactivate account and then asked for account number.  Obviously a scam, I don't have an account with wells fargo.

Mine came in at 1240am. Really? Who answers their phone at this hour? Especially from a number they don't recognize?

Got a call from at 3:30AM on my cell phone.  Caller ID only showed 2002 as the number.  Recording said my MC debit card and been locked and to press 2 to be transferred to the Fraud Dept.  I hung up because it sounded suspicious and they called at 3:30 in the morning(URG!).  I logged onto my bank account online just to verify there were no weird charges since I only have 1 MC debit card.  Also called my bank in the morning who stated they did not call me and my card was fine.

Got this call last night.... at 10pm. Was an automated message staying that my debut card had been lost and to press'1' to reactivate my card. Um... if it's lost (which it isn't) why would I want to REactivate it? My card is safe and sound in my wallet next to me, thank you!

I received a phone call around 2:15pm and the caller ID said it was from 2002. I ignored it, they did not leave a message. I came online and researched it and this is how I learned about the phishing. it bothered me because I just used my credit card online.

I received a call from this number at 10:28 this morning.  Caller ID showed the number "2002".  I feared phishing, therefore did not answer it.  They did not leave a message.  I came online to research the number and came across this site.  Thank you all so much for your helpful comments and warnings.
