Just got a message left on my home phone. Wording was garbled and sounded computer-generated. Said something about the IRS and that if I don't respond in 5 days I will be picked up by the "cops" in my area. Said I needed to call 202-204-0479 so I could straighten out my account before getting arrested. Ha! No idea who it is, but the IRS *never* telephones individuals. Spam call for sure.

I got a call from 2022040479 claiming to be IRS agent and I needed to pay or I would be arrested in 45 minutes.  The guy said he was turning my case over to the us marshals office and then they would have the sheriff arrest me if I didn't take care of this pronto. It was someone with an east Indian accent who was very sentiment about keeping me on the phone even though I had to get off to work.

I got this same voicemail message and I thought I was going to faint and then called the number back and nothing disconnect number.  So glad I googled this and found your reply.  Who calls and has IRS and sherriff's dept in the same voicemail.

Got a call from a so called "IRS agent," which was obviously a scam.  It appears that he has been calling people attempting to scam them out of their money.  The caller has a foreigner accent.

Get the same call a few minutes ago.  He is obviously a scamer.  The IRS would never call you to collect taxes.

These guys will try anything to get your money.  Don't even listen and just hang up when they call and block their number.
