SPAM.

Robo-dialer calling numbers -- can detect voicemail and answering machines, and hangs up unless it detects a live answer, in which case you get switched to either an automated/recorded message, or sometimes a live scumbag - er - person.  

Never follow their "opt out" instructions, either, as this only confirms your number is active, and will get you added to other call lists.

Try the government.  They have them all courtesy of our phone companies, and they do need money

I got a call from 202-465-5586 on my cell phone at 4:04 PM today. My number is on the Do Not Call List. I did not recognize the number, so I did not answer. The caller did not leave a message.

I got one earlier today, and ignored it.

Got it just now.  It hung up after the first, and then followed up again.  Both times it came up with District of Columbia.

I just let it ring until it ended up going to my voicemail which is in Japanese.

Needless to say, they didn't leave a message.

Same crap about winning a cruise for two in the Bahamas. I rented from Enterprise Car as well maybe these scumbags sold the number to these scumbags.

I got a call and they hung up when it went to voicemail. I wish something would be done about these calls. I have heart problems and major issues. I don't need the extra stress.

As well did I recently rent from enterprise and a few days later these dirtbags are calling me!

I am not up to scams and am tired of theses calls please stop.

They just called me too!!

I've been getting calls from this number for a few days now; not in the excess of what most people are saying. I live in the suburbs, 15 min outside of DC, so I knew the area code. I just got a new phone, and had lost my contacts from my old phone, so i didn't answer. They just called me 2 mins ago, that makes 3 for the day already. They've been calling me between 8pm and 10:30 pm, every night for the past 3 weeks; no one ever answers when I call back, and they won't leave a message.

This number keeps calling my cell phone and I never answer it because I don't recognize it.....never leaves a message.

Curious. Did you book the car through say, Booking.com or another online service? I just got back from a long trip that I booked through them and I'm now getting these calls.

They called me yesterday, no message. Very likely a scam.
