Did not pick up phone call.  Have caller ID. Left message (kind of garbled) ABOUT A LAW SUIT.

Got same "robo" call today as all the rest here "202-476-0697" Wash DC. I got this call while sleeping and
could hear the answering machine barely, I decided it's probably a scam before even playing it back and getting up to do so! :)
Relax: I found this "OFFICIAL" word on it:

Must be the pervasive scammed they've warned us of huh? Yes. Numerous hits also showed that number on google
as being linked to either marketing or a scam. Complained of for that many times. Look at this page alone. : )
Can it get any lower? NO! Wow shut these heartless clowns down. Not cool at all.

Same lawsuit message. Certainly a scam

Received a call today 1-12-16 at 10:17AM from this number claiming they were the IRS and that I need to call immediately to stop a lawsuit.

Received a call today 1-22-16 at 10:17AM from this number claiming they were the IRS and that I need to call immediately to stop a lawsuit.

Received two messages from this number to call. Did not return call and instead looked here. I will not return after seeing all this.

202-476-0697 called twice today and left a message stating that they are the IRS and the reason for this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file.  Please call immediately on our department number 202-476-0697.  I repeat 202-476-0697.  Be aware, IRS do not call you.  They would send out a letter and more likely a 800 or 888 telephone number would be on their as well as their address.  If you are afraid call Comptroller of your state or the your State's Treasury.  Now, if you filed taxes before, you should have IRS information.  Also, you can go on their website to get the correct telephone numbers to contact them.  Ignore those telephone calls.  It is a scam.

Got call today, was left a voicemail to call them back on a case # .... didn't call back

SCAM!!

Got the same call and could hardly understand the caller. Said lawsuit was filed , was I trying to run away ? Called back and my debt grew $1000.00

I received this and did not answer the original call but did call them back.  He asked who was calling and I did not give him my name but instead ask who he was and from what company.  He then proceeded to talk obscene porn language to me.  DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALLER!!

202-476-0697--PLEASE DO NOT give your credit card information to this company!!! The IRS would send information via USPS, certified if you owed them money. This is a SCAM.

The same thing happened to me. I asked for his supervisor and he responded that he was. I told him I didn't not trust him and I would call the IRS. He had a very heavy accent.

Do not trust this call. All my dealings with the IRS are via mail. There is a way to confirm if it is a legal document.  Do not fall for it. Always research and verify.

IRS SCAM

Received the same call this morning. I do not belong to AARP, and I'm on the do not call list. I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize, so it went to voicemail. Then I checked online, and found out here, that it was a scam! Thank  you for this service!! I reported it to the local police department, but small village. No one was in, and doubt there's anything they can do. So, I reported via a link posted above, and posted it on Facebook so that my friends would know about it also!

Got the same call person on the other line had a thick Indian accent it's a scam don't even //////////bother

How can anyone fall for such a scam.  Ignore these calls.
