Windows computer scam from some 3rd world chethole .  They seem to get hold of a US phone number and work it hard .

Received call from this number.  Called with thick accent said he needed to talk about a problem with my "Microsoft computer".  Told him I didn't own a Microsoft computer, that he was a scammer, and that he could go straight to ... well, you get the idea.

The person with a heavy accent called me about a virus on my computer and I played along also and it escalated into 'phone rage'. I got very angry, screamed SCAMMERS in the phone and the person called me back 15 to 20 times times leaving many voice mails even as I was on the phone with phone company to find out how to block the caller. Definitely harassment. Better to just hang up than to play along with them or don't answer at all.

Same thing just happened to me.  Tried to get me to download Teamviewer.  At that point I asked how I could confirm he worked for mint.com.  "Sir, you just have to trust me".  Nope; I hung up!

Called saying that my computer was infected. I knew it was a  bogus call so I kept him on and went along with it for about 5 min. After he knew I was playing him he started swearing and saying he'd rape my mom and wife and daughter.

this guy has been calling every day for the last week.  i tell him to take me off the list...he hangs up.  some of these other posts have me a bit freaked out, so i took another poster's advice and blocked the number.  Hope it works!

A man who didn't speak very good English said he was calling from windows and I said there is nothing wrong with my computer this is a scam. He said there is plenty wrong with your computer. I said never call my house again, he said listen  I said no you listen, never call my house again and hung up!!

Knowing this was a scam, I had some time to kill and played with the caller. After about 10 mins of him showing my eventviewer on my PC and various other little bits, he wanted me to visit AnyDesk.com to download a program to access my computer.... I said, sorry, I'm getting that spinny blue wheel so my Internet access seems to be broke. Did you do that? I asked him...   Looks like you'll have to call me back later.

...and then I blocked that number in my telephone portal. Bah, bye...

Indian guy called about windows virus, this person also call from 206-777-1088.
This is fraud don't accept the call

These people are calling me every day, several times a day. I have told them I have a Mac, not a PC, then they hang up. Today they called, I asked them not to call me again? That they have called before, and I knew it was a scam. He told me, and I quote, " [***] you."

This Guy just called from 202-655-9865 and was very rude and swore and wanted me to give information about my computer. This is a scam

I have been receiving calls from this number for days.  This morning I answered.  Very static-call. Caller was also talking to someone in different language when I answered .  When he answered me with "hello", I said "take my name and number off your list."  He said "Hang up the phone M***** F*****!" In very broken English. Then he hung up!

Just got the same call...said they were responding to error messages they were receiving from my computer. I asked them for the name of my computer, and he rattled off a series of numbers and letters claiming to be my Windows license. He said that the messages were being received from a city, address and name of a person that wasn't even close to where I live, then he asked me if I was sure my home address he gave was incorrect.

I went along with it for a couple of minutes, and stopped when he wanted me to type information into my computer system-no doubt to install something they can access my computer with. Once I told him I'm not going to enter the information, another person got on the line and yelled something twice that I couldn't understand.

The number comes up as 'unknown caller,' so unless you don't have the time to mess with them, don't bother answering.

I have gotten at least 8-10 calls from this number a week. Sometime 3 x a day. I have never answered the call, but... have received calls from this area code and one that started with a "1". Same thing heavy accent, and quite bluntly it was obviously East Indian and he said my computer had a virus, and he  represented Microsoft... Big scam!

I guy with middle eastern accent keeps calling everyday ,Asking about a computer problem .I told him to stop calling me ,he then called me an [***] and hung up on me.But calls back everyday saying hello,hello,hello like 20 times and hangs up this is harassment.number says from District of Columbia 202-655-9865

That's freaking funny! so my parents where out and it was my 19 year old brother and my 15 year old sister. We got a call from this number and I handed my phone to my brother. He listened to the caller and said there is a virus and the virus was giving all of our information out. My brother looked at my moms laptop that she uses for her work and he told us to look at the top right and left conners (there was nothing) tbh he was creepy but my brother hung up and I was freaked.

Same with me called a few times dying from windows broken English. Soooo sick of this cramp what's the matter with Comcast???? Can't they do a block?

WI have received enough of these calls that I told him I was OK with a virus!  When asked if I wanted to remove it I said no I want it !!  He was dumbfounded.
