SCAMMER. Robotic voice left me a message saying the IRS was suing me and I needed to call them back at this number.

I received a voicemail from 800-729-3764 stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call 202-684-3436 for additional information. Very tricky since it's out of Washington DC, but the other posts have confirmed what I suspected - a scam.

Message left on my answering machine saying this was an official notice and the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. The robotic voice told me to call this number 202.684.3436

Automated call claimed it was my final notice and that the irs was filing a lawsuit against me.  Gave me this number to call back.  I saved the number and message and reported it to the IRS via their phishing@irs.gov e-mail.

They are now leaving a recording that states that the IRS is filling a lawsuit against you. The IRS will never call and leave a message regarding your tax status. DO NOTever return this cal.

Received computer generated voice call from 730-401-2527 stating: "Hello, We have been trying to reach you. This call is official final notice from I. R. S. Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to let you know that I R S is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information please call immediately on our department number 202-684-3436."

Got information on what to do at " http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0259-robocalls ". I followed suggestion to file complaint with both FTC and DO NOT CALL REGISTRY (links provided at website).

Got a phone call from 733-494-2027 telling me the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and that I should call 202-684-3436 for more information. Total robovoice. Total scam. I'm sure they want to get my credit card # to "pay off the IRS."

Do Not Ever Call This Number Back!! This is part of a massive fraud of IRS impersonation.  They claim the IRS is about to file a lawsuit against you. They use what sounds like a computer voice. They are calling from numbers 738-444-2527; 739-494-2327. Contact the IRS at irs.gov (search for phising and scams) if you get one of these calls. Don't call the 202-684-3436 number.

Harassing calls with threats from the goverment

I received a message from the IRS regarding a lawsuit being brought against me....number left to call was 202-684-3436. When I called the number I didn't get an answer so I called the number left on my caller ID which was 320-345-9005. which asked me for my card number and that was it.

The voice recording identified themselves as the IRS. They called my business & said they were going to file charges for taxes.

You receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS but you suspect they are not an IRS employee ...

Record the employee's name, badge number, call back number and caller ID if available.
Call 1-800-366-4484 to determine if the caller is an IRS employee with a legitimate need to contact you.
If the person calling you is an IRS employee, call them back.
If not, report the incident to TIGTA and to us at phishing@irs.gov (Subject: 'IRS Phone Scam')

This number is now being given as the contact number to call for an IRS Scam.

I just got a call from John Larry and he told me that the federal reserve selected me for 7800 dollar grant but wouldn't give me any info SCAM
