- Jesse VorstFoolish me! I let myself being talked into having someone coming by later today. Only then did I google for the phone number and discovered that things might not be as pure as thought. Called the company and cancelled. Yet another number for my ever-growing "do not answer" printed list, hanging next to the phone. B.t.w., I am on the Do Not Call list but that appears to be of limited help. Another lesson learnt.

- BunnyAbout a week ago had a survey regarding recycling. It's the only way I know this is connected, because it said I would be entered into a daily prize. Now, I am a supporter of the Winnipeg Humane Society, and when I saw WHS on our display, I answered foolishly. They said I had won a prize, and that in order to get the prize I would have to have an in house display. My husband told me that this was not right, and I did call them back and canceled. This is definitely a scam.

- Ike in WinnipegReceived the same call Saturday from WHS 204-414-1080. That I was lucky to have been chosen to receive a "free" gift for my participation in their survey. The choice was the same trip or chopper. I picked the chopper then they asked for my address and then wanted to schedule a time to drop it off. That was when the alarm bells started to go off. Why would they need an appointment to deliver an item worth only a few dollars at best? They wanted to schedule the time for today, which wasn't convenient! Then I did an internet search and found this site. Thank to all who posted their experience it saved me from going any further into this scam.
Thanks again.- Caller: 204-414-1080

- Monikia replies to CarolThis all happened to me, since I found out what it was about I cancelled, told them not to come, but they keep calling every single day, sometimes twice, they are so annoying and deceitful the way they went about it too, then throw in the end that someone is coming to show you something, the manager I spoke with was so rude to me, told me he could not cancel appointment, that this was going to mess up everything, then asked why I bothered to make an appointment, what?, said you guys tricked me into it, then when I found out what it was about he made it like I was wrong in cancelling. I may just tell them where to go if they call again...
- KentWow.
It's a good thing I decided to research this company before I went for an interview. I saw that they had an add on kijiji looking to hire 20 people immediately. I called and set up an interview for today at 4pm. I then decided to come online and research the company before my interview. Low and behold this is what i find.
thank you everyone for being extremely up front about their experiences. I wouldn't want to work for a company that operates like this.
and if anyone wants to go give them a demonstration about getting their butts whooped, their address is 74 Myrtle St near Notre Dame and Mcphillips - Enough is enoughDonot schedule appointments and they will have to close up.
- Caller: Winnipeg Health Systems/Filter Queen
- WhatnautsI thought this was a scam from the questions they asked. At the end of the 'survey', the fellow said because I was so nice my name would be entered in a draw for a free gift. I gave him a fake first name so I would recognize the scammers when they called again. I just received a follow-up call (first call was a few days ago) to inform me my name has been entered into a draw to be held on March 17, so be sure to watch for a follow-up call!! The name on the call display was WHS so I asked for the company name and what they did. She explained they dealt in 'air quality systems'. Hmm, hardly sounds like Filter Queen would be the item they sell. The company name sounds like Winnipeg Health Authority and I'm sure this is intentional. I googled the company name as soon as I got off the phone and my hunch was right - this is a huge scam. No problem, if I have some spare time when they call back to inform me of my 'win', I will lead them on for awhile.

- nickI also received a call from them, but after I booked the appointment, I called the police, and I was told not to allow them in my property, and they also asked that I call the anti fraud centre, www.antifraudcentre.ca, 1-888-654-9426.
Afterwards, I called them back, cancelled the appointment, and advised them that the police have been called.
I will report them to the anti-fraud centre ASAP, and I will ensure that they are thrown in prison for a very long time.
Those types of companies should NEVER be operating.
All of you affected by them, make sure that you report them to the anti-fraud agency.- Call type: Survey
- SamI just got a phone call about a job interview (apparently I applied for these guys on kijiji) and quickly typed in the number to see who was calling. I'm glad I did! I politely declined the job.

- AnnoyedApparently this type of scam is not in ontario...... Got a call to do a survey about smoking and asthma, quick 30 second survey...... told I could get a call in the future for a draw to tank me for my time.... next day, got a call offering 1 of two gifts, slap chop and 3 day 2 night stay anywhere in Canada or US. Opted for the trip.... she asked for my address and spouses name, when we worked.... I gave a some bogus answers as theyd be sending me my prize right? WAIT Ive suddenly been able to have someone come deliver me my prize at no cost to me! Told her I was no longer interested and then SHE hung up..... I reversed the call *69... not available... must have been a blocked number.......

- Marvin Fetch replies to donna isaacI received a call yesterday asking if I recalled a survey from a few weeks ago. The girl on the phone talked too fast for my aging brain. I too, thought that I was interviewed by a gov't agency. When given a choice of two gifts, I chose the free resorts for two nights. The girl mumbled something about delivering the voucher that afternoon and did mention more than once about how their company uses word of mouth. I didn't hear anything about a presentation. Craig McLean was at our front door within the hour and went into a two hour presentation. I am retired from a thirty year career in car sales and still find it fascinating to listen to other sales agents presentations. I let him go on knowing that I'm losing two hours time working in the yard. We have a central vac. He was careful not to knock its value. I suspect he also knew I was judging his presentation. I was. At the end of his visit, he called his Sales Manager to thank me for his time. This so called manager asked what we used and, when I told him, he said it was crap. That would have killed any deal if I was interested in the first place.
I don't know if you have completed your research, or not. Hope this helps.

' - Heather| 3 repliesHi there, my daughter works for this company, they are legit and sell great products, she had brought them over to show me, not for everyone but not your average household vacuum or air cleaner. Just thought I would leave a post, just people trying to sell products.
- Concerned parent replies to Heather| 2 repliesWait until your daughter gets screwed when it comes to getting paid. When all is said and done she will be lucky to have made 5 bucks an hour.
- donna isaac replies to Concerned parentTo 'Concerned Parent'......could you pls call me at (204) 788-3778? I am a producer with CBC Radio. Thanks.
- SusanThis time the phone number was 204-505-0620. Same as above, she mentioned the survey, my name entered into the draw, I had won either a travel voucher or slap chop. I chose the slap chop. When she asked me for my address, I said I could come and pick it up. No, they "hand-deliver" the prizes, a "rep" would come. This raised a red flag for me, so I said I would have to pass. I do not want to give my address to people/organizations who I don't know.

- AnonymVery similiar circumstance but the number is supposed to be 778-432-2155 and talked with both Raven and Allie. They came and did the survey, then called and wanted to make the appointment for Advanced Air supply. Fortunately, I just read the incidences below and when they showed up I said goodbye, you are a scam.
- Caller: Advanced Air supply
- A replies to Concerned parentI actually didnt get screwed over and made about $1500 in 3 weeks of working there. In the end the hours sucked and i did not like how they went about making their appointments. But whatever. It was fast cash when i was in between jobs.
- BenNow they are sending scratch cards titled "Make your friends green with envy" with a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize. The full prize list includes Apple Macbook Air, 7pc Ruff & Ready Car Detail Kit, TV Slap Chop, Poweshot ELPH Digital Camera, Apple iPod Touch, and the $10,000 Grand Prize. Odds are provided, with a large bias towards the Slap Chop (599,834: 1,000,000) and the Ruff & Ready (399,835: 1,000,000). To learn what prize you've won, the card directs you to call immediately 204-505-0620 or (800) 507-6540. Address on card is Winnipeg Health Systems Inc, 74 Myrtle Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 2R1.
Of course I was a winner but after reading about the company's previous survey scams I can only imagine this is more of the same and will not be following up to claim my prize. I also encourage others to avoid, as reaching out to the company (for the prize) can be viewed legally as an invite to the company to engage in business contact with you. As they are trying to sell vacuums/filters, it may be difficult to shake them, once they have your name/number.- Caller: Winnipeg Health Systems Inc

- Evan M.They call and ask you to answer some survey questions and for your troubles, they will drop off at your house a free gift. If you fall for this, they will show up on your doorstep and spend the next 3-4 hours aggressively trying to sell you a vacuum that costs thousands. The vacuum is nice but just be forewarned its a hard sale that takes hours of your time, they get pushy about it and the system costs thousands! You have been warned.
