Keeps calling. Never says anything.

Like all else our Do Not Call Fed. list is useless. Called but no message. I just hope we can get a Republican in power this time.H6

Message about a political survery, which I have already reported to DNC registry, but they keep calling.

Received call from this number at 1:20PM (EST) today - about 20 minutes ago.  Caller ID display shows as IND SUR GROP.  I answered today, was going to tell them to stop calling and to remove our number from their list, but when I answered they hung up several seconds later.  Also received a call the other day, 6/3/12 @ 2:18PM, but from 360-474-3939 - I did not answer that call and no message was left.  Both of these numbers have been reported as scam.  It's supposedly a survey, but if you participate in the survey you can get a free cruise.  That's when they start asking for the credit card information.  I have a list of many, many numbers who call our unlisted number - way too many.  Most of these numbers are either trying to sell prescription drugs (viagra, cialis & many others) without prescriptions or they are scams trying to get credit card or other personal information.  It seems most of the numbers being used are "spoofed".  Wish there was some way to stop these calls.

DO NOT add your number to the "number removal" program. It is a scam!!

I'm on the Do Not Call list.  I received a call but no one was on the other end

Call with no message (I don't answer any call that I don't recognize).  I have marked it as telemarketer in my contacts.  I agree with others when they say DO NOT call them back or give them your number to remove from their list as they are probably only looking for valid phone numbers to use or hack.  I think it's just like spam e-mail...acknowledging it makes it worse.

I keep getting calls from someone name Sarah, about some deal they have for me.  I have registered my phone with the Do Not Call system, so I don't know why I keep receiving calls from these people. They need to STOP!!!

I received three SPAM call today from this number. I’m sure it is from the same scam outfit using software to fake the origin numbers (like phishing emails).

From what I've learned - they are running several scams. The basic scam is this: They pretend to be conducting a political survey, as political calls are not blocked by the do not call list. They ask two or three easy questions, and tell you that you won a gift – like a free ship cruise. Then they will ask for your credit card number to pay for taxes and fees. Or they will do some variation of the above scam, like offering to reduce your credit card interest rate.

They always come back to the credit card - be aware! And if you do go on the cruise, the actual costs will go higher and higher, and you will be forced to attend a timeshare session before the cruise – so you lose more time.

Don’t bother pressing (1) to be removed from their list – that doesn’t work, as the criminals will not remove you from their call list, and may even increase the frequency of their calls. The FTC is pretty useless if they can't track and trap these abusers of our phone system. Remember – the callers are NOT a legitimate business - they are criminals/scammers trying to get your credit card number so they can defraud you. Don't even answer the phone, don't call back, just block them.

I have added all of the scam phone numbers to my blocked phone list - so I will never be bothered again. If you cannot block calls - just add the number to your phone book, with "No Name" and set the ringer to silent. If they call again, you will not hear the ring.
