Now "Political Opinions of America" is calling themselves "Political Survey Group" and running the same scam - take our poll and get a free cruise!  They called my cell. I filed another complaint with the FCC - this is at least my 10th call between my cell and home phones.

I have now had to ***BLOCK 11 numbers*** from this Political Opinions Of America...they do not stop.  They do not take you off the list as requested. Resorted to have to pay for *Call Intercept* with Verizon because of these jerks.Its all robo calling and a recording stating they are Political Opinions of a America and a gift awaits you. Its a SCAM.

Four calls in rapid succession. Didn't answer, all went to voicemail and left no message, but each duration exactly four seconds. Reverse lookup indicates a landline from Seatle Washington

I didn't recognize the number, but knew it was a scam, because I have received other calls from the 206 area code.

Robocall.  Ind Sur Group on the caller ID. Hung up.  Not the first time they've called.

I do not want calls of this nature on my cell phone.  How do they get cell phone numbers?

Perhaps if some people started using their address as the PoliticalOpinionsofAmerica address below to  fill out time share solicitations, and sign them up for free stuff and telemarketers, they'd get a taste of their own medicine, hypothetically of course..

the easiest thing to do is not answer at all. when you do answer or return a call you are confirming that is an active phone number. when that happens you open the floodgates. also, as mentioned, so-called political survey calls are exempt from the do not call as are non-profit and so-called charitable organizations who are conducting 'fund-raising'. frankly, i think its time we as consumers began demanding that unless it is a legitmate charity -- conducted by the charity or organzation and not by a paid fund raiser who is soliticing for the charity -- all exemptions are void. i work in the industry and even i am tired of getting the calls.

the problem is that this company uses many numbers and changes these numbers like we change underwear!!!  Best NOT to answer at all - NEVER call them back - it just verifies that your number is a viable one - they will just keep calling from whatever number they are using at that time.  Trying to take your number off their is useless

I agree with you whole heartily, I am and have been on both state and national DNC list and still and always have been receiving these types of phone calls .

Being harassed by - call every other day - so called Independent Survey Group- either John or Sarah - same people as 360-529-6981 - same recording- same offer - free 2 day trip to Bahamas for taking survey plus gratuity, etc. Indicate you can opt out by pressing 9 which is a lie.

Last time a republican was in power (Bush) we inherited the biggest economic disaster sine the rash of the stock market. Wedon't need moreof that & all his bailouts to boot!

Received a call on my DO NOT CALL REGISTRY cell phone from 206-496-0948 and traced it to Political Opinions of America. Then received another call from 360-474-3939, also from Political Opinions of America. These calls are annoying and they should not be calling CELL PHONES; it wastes our minutes!!!

This option does not work unfortunately. I have also noticed that while the company stays the same the phone number changes by only a number or two. For instance I received a call on Wednesday of this week from 206-496-0948. Today is Friday and it came with the same exact recording from 206-496-0950. I am saving them in my phone and labeling them Do Not Answer 1, Do Not Answer 2, etc. I can tell what is definitely them if it ever repeats and definitely not a relative I have in WA.

I have relatives in Seattle so it is very difficult for me to make the choice to not pick up the phone when I see the area code and you cannot memorize the number to ignore it - it changes!!! It should not matter what type of organization they are, they should not be able to call cell phones. This does not apply to me because my minutes are unlimited but there are so many people that pay by the minute it is unreasonable to expect them to accept unsolicited calls from unwanted parties. The DNC list does not work for this. Choosing "3" during the phone call to be removed does not work. If I am getting calls every other day I figured it would not hurt to submit my number on their web site to be removed so we shall see if that works. The only option after that I think is help from the government...  It's okay if you are laughing now - that was funny.   :P

There should be NO survey or marketing calls (political or charity, etc.) to our cell phones, especially.  As consumers, we should have the right to give out our number selectively to only those people we wish to, and not be bombarded with unwanted calls.  

It is an invasion of privacy to receive these unsolicited calls.  It is most annoying to receive repeated calls when you have at get to bed early so you can be at work at 3:30 in the morning.  Interrupted sleep is bad enough, but when a call makes you so angry you can't get back to sleep for a 3:30am alarm, it affects your health!

Where's our freedom of domicile sanctuary and privacy? !
