- Billy the kidForeign accent, two days in a row,... Says he is a lawyer and I will end up behind bars,.... Gezzz
- Annette BenningThis scammer is trying to get your Verizon account number, then calls Verizon and orders equipment from them. By the time you get your bill, the equipment is long gone and you might be responsible for paying for it.
*****Don't ever give any info to a random caller - name, title, business address etc.
*****Call 611 on your Verizon phone to report this caller - they follow up on their end.
*****When you call Verizon, you can request that Verizon block this phone number for 90 days - then you have to call again in 90 days.
****** Don't ever let someone have you enter a website on your computer to 'let them fix something' They will put a virus into it that allows them to track all transactions and get your credit cards, pass words to bank accounts etc. even if they say they are from the FBI or Microsoft etc. It is a scam!
******Email accounts (Yahoo, Google, Comcast) never email you asking you to confirm your email and password back to them. It is a scammer- Caller: Micrsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Donald LambI received a call today 12-5-13 ID said Washington. There was no response to my several Hello's
- Caller: Washington
- MaddiesueReceived several of these calls. Caller ID said Seattle, Wa, but woman said they were Microsoft from Las Vegas. Insisted I had computer problems (which I know I don't) and would not tell me what this was about until I logged on to my computer. She then gave directions to go into system files, telling me I needed to alter a setting on a gateway to prevent future issues. She said if I don't my computer would begin having problems within the week. What a bunch of bull. That would only happen if I had done what she wanted me too, opening up my computer for them to get into. TOTAL SCAM! I feel sorry for those who are computer illiterate and may follow their instructions. Wish there was more I could do to stop these thugs than just this posting.
- LindaThis number keeps calling and doesn't leave a message.
- GaleGot call today about 9am. Asked for me by first and last name. East indian accent unable to understand. - AC in Texas| 1 replyReceived call from Washington number. We too are on the "do not call list". Answered call and male with heavy Asian accent asked if he could speak to me regarding "the computer". I asked which computer and he replied "the one with Windows on it". I told him I don't know what he's talking about and was about to hang up when he said "oh, so you want to be a {bleep}" ... I hung up. I have no idea if his intention was to attempt to gain remote access to my computer or what ... so not sure if this is fraud/scam or prank call.
- Call type: Prank
- TB replies to AC in TexasI just got a call from this number also, but I do not answer unknown calls as a general rule. If it is important, leave me a message. These creeps don't and can't because they rely on verbal, emotional cues from the other person on the line to determine if they might be susceptible to scams. Thanks for your post though, now I know I don't have to call anyone back!
- SandyReceived a call from this number. The caller ID had "Washington". Answered the phone and the person said, " I am looking for first name last name (which is my name). I said this is first name last name and the person hung up the phone.
- DawnNever been called from Seattle Washington before. Asshat called at 9:48am this morning. I didn't answer since I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. I don't know where the hell they are getting my number from but can they please go jump off something reeeaaallly high?! I am also on the DNC list. But we can thank the FCC for giving out all known cell phone numbers so we can be harassed just like land line numbers...
- M. WilsonThinking about it, this number has been calling me a few times weekly for some time. Each time I can barely understand what the person wants due to the accent. One time though they told me that I was about to receive a government grant or something and needed my SSN. Huh? I told the caller (a man this time) that I wasn't giving him my SSN and since I just retired from the Army they already HAVE my SSN. Since I didn't believe any of it anyway I just hung up. They called today about an hour ago. But I learned how to block the number on my phone just now so hopefully they won't be ruining my days any longer.
- Meralee MontiI had several calls from this number, When I said Hello this was slurred speech and I hung up. I am on the do not call list and I want to report this as a telemarket call.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- J. JurateThis number showed up on my cell as a missed call. I was expecting a call, so I called this number. A canned voice came up saying "We're sorry. You have reached a number that is disconnected or no longer in service . ..."
- DeniseI've gotten several calls from this number, I do not answer and no messages left.
- DJJust called on my cell phone, but never said anything. Then I heard a goodbye by a woman. I wish these people would find a real job............so sick of ignorance!
- annoyedI receive 3 call in a period of 20 minutes. No one answer the first time. I let it ring the next 2 and no message was left. This is abuse by the company that does this. If it is legal they should call the congressmen or the owners of the company to annoy them as they do the public. There are thousands of companies that do this. I get many from companies that prey on seniors.
Businesses like this don't attract customers. The customers get tired and angry. I can understand how they continue to stay in business without some kind of legal hassle. We are in a country that we should be free of harassment.- Caller: 206777016
