I got a call from this number today telling me that had information about a medical claim! They knew my first name creepy!

I got a call from this number today and no one was there when I answered it. In my experience these people are calling people to get personal information so they can hack your computer or steal your identity. I just added this number to my "blocked numbers" list

Keeps calling and asking questions about a computer  My dad does not have a computer.  When you confront the person making the call they hang up. They will not give you the company they are calling for. RCVD 3 calls today and you have to keep saying hello about 5 times before someone answers you.

Did anyone contact a government official before they got this call?
I put my phone number in a comment to the WHite house in a post I made in www.whitehouse.gov/contact and they called within minutes of my post getting transmitted.  Could be a coincidence

Been getting a rash of these calls. Verbal skills have dropped as well. Some I can hardly understand.  

NOBODY, I mean NOBODY calls my home and starts by asking "Is this Mr. McDonald?" or "Is this Ronald?"  I immediately demand to know

1. Who is calling. and

2. The PURPOSE of the call. They usually hang up. Better prospects to scam than me.  Makes me feel good. I just 'helped a good kid not break the LAW.'  You see, I am on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.  So I know anyone with legitimate business will answer my questions. Those who refuse are breaking Federal Statutes.  Subject to fines and one can collect damages.

Not so from these "spoofed" phone numbers, though. Impossible to determine what # is really calling...  Caller today was especially arrogant. I asked #1/#2. and he replied "yo mama!!!"   Not at all funny.

Pathetic.

Called my cell phone. Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer. Googled the number and after reading all the replys, I just blocked all calls from that number.

CREDIT CARD & BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION PHISHER! Do NOT give them your credit card or bank account information! I have received numerous calls from this number. Sometimes this number will be a real person with a strong Indian accent trying to intimidate you into paying some fictitious overdue debt. Other times it will be a fraudulent automated message claiming to be a credit union or bank (the company varies) and telling you to press "1" to be connected to their "security department". After doing so you will be prompted to dial your credit card number, exp. date, security code, bank account number, etc. (again, it varies from call to call) Sadly I am sure there are many (less savvy) individuals who have already fallen victim to this scam... DON'T LET THEM GET YOU TOO!

Caller ID on cell phone showed this number. Call came through at 1008p MST on 4/7/14. On do not call list, but with number of calls received obviously doesn't work, because callers don't care.

2067771016 called and no voice mail or anything. Called back and said it was disconnected or it was an error.

I just received a call from 206-777-1016 and a guy (sounded like an Indian) starts telling me that for the past several weeks my computer was sending a strange signal through the internet and it was affecting national security in Washington?? He said my Windows operating system was infected and causing this problem.  At this point I told him I didn't know what his scam was  but he should screw himself and hung up.
I don't even use Windows, I use Linux and love it. I also had disconnected my internet service a few weeks ago and piggy backed on my neighbor until I had Fios installed a few days ago.
The Caller ID shows WASHINGTON.
I assume they do that to trick you into thinking it is a government call from Washington DC

Got a call at 918 pm saying it was from microsoft...i don't  even have a computer connected to the internet. strong indian (?) Accent. told him i didn't have a computer and he hung up..scam? I think so!

Date: 04-19-2014: Called at 7:25 PM...said he was a Microsoft Technician. I yelled DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN! He had Asian accent. (This was a second call. Yesterday, same thing...) My caller ID said WASHINGTON. (I work with people in Washington and picked up for that reason.) Never again!

Just got called from this number. Pre-recorded voice said my debit card had been shut off and to press 1 immediatly! Obviously I just hung up.

Received a call from this number; did not pick up the call, they did not leave a message. I normally goggle the number if is unrecognizable...Please make it stop.

Got a call this morning at 7:49 AM. I didn't answer the call as I did not recognize the number. However, out of curiosity, I called the number right back and got the recording (and sound you would normally get) stating this number is out of order, if you feel you have reached this number in error, please try the number again.....! How can that be? It had just called my cell and I simply hit the call back button on my phone...I did not enter the numbers to call the numbers on the dialing pad.....very frustrating!

Got a call, didn't answer it.  They left no message, always a bad sign. if they call again I will block them.

Caller said he was from Microsoft, when I said we are on the do not call list he stated "Well then go F*^& Yourself!"

Today on 5/2/14 I had some one call me with a thick accent probably from india asking if I still work for my employer. I asked him 3 times where he was calling from but couldn't understand what he was saying. He just kept asking me over and over if I was with my company that I work for now. I hung up and tried to call the number that just called me which was 206-777-1016 and it said it is disconnected. It's just creepy. I have been recieving all types of calls like this for weeks now and everytime I block one number, another one calls.
