Got a call @12PM from someone who could barely speak English asking about my computer. What is that about?

Received a call from this number today, foreign man told me that he was from Microsoft and that my computer would be not be working within 24 hours. I told him I did not have a computer that ran Microsoft (lied :o))) and that this must be a BS phone call. He hung up don't know if he heard my last comment or not.

wanted to open my computer for them to scan for a problem that  i never reported,nor seem to have fake microsoft ,would think,,,,

when I get "calls" from this number they say nothing and hang up.  I have received 6 to 10 calls from these idiots.

Called once yesterday and 2 times (back to back) today.... I blocked it.

Five calls since this morning. I answer and just get dead air.

I just received a call from 207-598-4867, almost could not understand what he was saying, He reported I had major problems with my computer and they were going to block me from the internet.  I asked what I could do, he said, you want me to fix it for you.  I told him, No, I just unplugged my computer and am going to put it in the trash.  He again asked if he could fix it, I said how can you fix it if it is not hooked up the internet. He said you want me to fix it again and I told him I did not have computer. He said OK.  How many people fall for this?  

I received a call form this number and a man who sounded as if he was from India.
He told me had to block my Microsoft usage as I was downloading and send severaly
damaging messages.
My caller ID just said  U.S. Celluar

If you really want to stop these calls and you can't block their number, buy yourself an airhorn, whistle or anything that will generate a very loud/disturbing noise........play the noise into the phone when these scammers call........guarantee they won't want to call your number again!

A man with "an indian (asia) accent" ask me:
Is this a business?
I replied: "Take this number off you list"
The caller: "How old are you?"
I replied "That's none of your business",
He then stated "I would F@%* you!"
I replied "I would NOT F@%* you! and hung up the phone.

Same call as earlier in the week only with a different phone number....shows up as US Cellular.  Going to talk to US Cellular.  

Same old Windows support scam but now they say "we are sorry but we have to block your computer". All I said was OK and they hung up..lol. See if they call back..kind of funny after awhile seeing what they'll say next.

Missed a call from 207-598-4867 and recognized a Maine area code.  Since we have lots of friends in Maine I hit redial and got a message this number could not receive incoming calls.  Made me suspicious so I looked the number up on line and found that many people were getting disturbing calls from this number.  It is a scam and we would like to report it.

Get these "Microsoft" calls all the time but rarely from an actual phone number (usually some crazy alpha-numeric combo); as our phone numbers are on he Do Not Call Registry i tell them this and ask them to remove us from their list (obviously they don't).  I always hang up before they can get any more of a reaction out of me.  Because I had an actual number today I filed a complaint with Do Not Call.  I don't suggest flipping out on them - just makes them mad and the harassment will undoubtedly continue.

Have received several calls from this number on my home phone, but no message. I don't answer if I don't know who it is, so thanks everyone here for the info!

Get calls from this number, saying they are Microsoft Service Center.  I tell them I have a MAC and they can't hang up  fast enough.  Next time I will tell them Thank you for calling the FBI Telephone Fraud division and see how fast they hang up.

received a call from guy with indian accent - same company as 975 964 2811
claims to be from microsoft - told him line was recorded and being traced and would be reported
his response was what !  then he told me to go to hell and i noted that he was already there...

You would think US Cellular or Microsoft would join together to stop these people from discrediting their company names.

I have discovered that everytime I answer the phone in a gruff and angry manner the caller says nothing and hangs up the phone. I believe these people are getting our phone numbers from spyware when we use our computers. We I take a brake from using the computer, the the calls die down.

Caller claimed to be from "Microsoft Windows calling about my computer".
Serious shame that these companies employ and prey on the undereducated.
