I just got the same phone id call me and said that I had been stealing their newspaper of their lawn and threaten me if I did it again. I never did anything. Then at the end of the call I heard some people and the caller laughing.

Received call, but did not pick. Number was on caller ID display.  I googled it like others and found this site, which prompted me to report it.

this person needs to get arrested for trying to hustle people for there money by pretending to be part of the police dept. this is wrong ive gotten a few calls from these [***] and ill i did was cus him out for studering wen he was trying to get money off of me

when CA Police Youth Charities called, I said I'd donate (dummy me), but I wouldn't give my credit card # by phone, so they mailed info.  Looked legit, but my gut had me putting it off and putting it off.  They kept calling and I couldn't make myself write the check.  Googled them and found them described on this web site for pho # 510-686-8917 and I'm so grateful.

Thanks to all of you!  I can't wait until they call again.

I got a call from this number and they did not leave a message.  I'm glad I did not drop what I was doing to pick up.  These people really play on my sensitivity to supporting things for public servants and youth.

This number has tried to call me twice, when answer phone picks up they disconnect..

Incoming call in the middle of dinner from 209-473-8558 CPYC was the caller ID which I did not recognise. So I did not pick up. I will block both numbers listed here as associated with this bogus charity. If you are unfortunate and pick up your phone with them on the line you might tell the scum that you need to check their non-profit status with the state and the Better Business Bureau before commiting to a donation. Insist on them telling you their name and the company address. Use that information to file a complaint!

They called and hung up as soon as I said "Hello"

Being on the National DNC registry helps somewhat, but not with all callers. there are callers exempt from the law, such as NON-PROFITS looking for a donation, and political fund-raising groups. Go figure.

They called and left no information on my machine.  I to oam on the do not call list.

I also received a call from CA Police Youth Charities.  I also got a hang up from them.  What most of you don't realize is that despite the fact we are all on the DNC list, Federal law allows charities, polling organizations and political cause organizations to call you. They are exempt from DNC.  That is the only hole in the law.  Also businesses with which you have a relationship as a customer or former customer within the last 18 months are allowed to call.  The only hope you have is to individually contact each and notify them that you want to be on THEIR DO NOT Call list.  They are required to comply in a reasonable period of time.  If they contact you after that you have the right to seek damages.  But even a telemarketer who calls you by mistake gets one free ride in most cases.  You must notify them that you are the DNC list and then if you get a second call you can nail them big time.  And trust me they know it.
