Received the call 2/16/10 at 7:16PM from CPYC. We knew people in the 209 area code and thought it may be an emergency call so we unfortunately answered it and telemarketers were on the other end. We also on the Do Not Call list with an unpublished number. They must have randomly dialed.

Well, now they are calling and leaving a political endorsement for Steve Hunt for Orange County Sheriff.  So he's been added to my Don't Vote for Him list.  I'm voting against everyone slimy politician who calls and leaves a political ad.

California Police Youth Charities is the caller.  It is Sacramento, Ca based non-profit organization that's being sued for misleading their contributors about how much money is being donated to the cause.  The organization spends more money on soliciting donations with the help of large marketing companies than the kids.  Also they lie to the IRS about the money they give and total expenses.  All around bad organization with even worse ethics.  BEWARE.  Read the article yourself.

I can tell you they will call you over and over again. If you give them any money they will call you every six months. Don't use your credit card because there may be an ex-con on the other end of the line.
This organization was sued about 3 months ago from the state attorneys office. All that was illegal was changed to be legal but is till wrong.

Only about 8% of every dollar raised goes to help the kids. I would not give to this program.

The California Police Youth Charities is a bogus ask the La Raiders, they did not renew there suite.

They only care about there own profits.

Actually 85% goes to the telemarketers do not give these losers any money please. Give it to your grand kids or kids just not these load of tweakers.
