robo caller from Jamestown CA, a small town of 3,500.  You would think it easy to identify the originator.

Wish we could sue the phone provider - 01 Communications Inc - and make them responsible for these
people, having sold them their services.

Caller ID says "Local". Apparently run of the mill scammers pushing credit renegotiation/interest rate reduction based on what's here and elsewhere. Let their call go to voicemail where they did not leave a message. Welcome to my block list.

SOLUTION: Keep a loud whistle by the phone and blow it as hard as you can in their ear when they call back after you have asked them not to call.

Cuts down on most-not all-of these calls.

Same problems with these scammers. Told one I was "getting" with the Attorney Generals office and she had the nerve to call back and say she checked with the Attorney Generals office in Indiana and I was not with them. Guess they can't hear either.

Caller ID said TEST... hung up at answering machine. Blocked the #. UGH these people.

Caller ID reads "TEST"     Automated message states "because of your great payment, you're eligible for lower interest rate credit cards".  Definitely a scam to get credit card info.

I get the same...LOCAL in caller ID.  They call my home 1-2 times a day.  I pick up and hang up.

This is very strange.  CI states TEST  I understand it is a scam.  And not credit collections.  They never leave a message.

The number 2097828675 tried calling me and collecting my credit card information. They represented themselves as being the Low Interest Department of Visa and Mastercard. Scam artists.

Sadly, as has been said before there IS no way to stop them from calling.  They are actually calling from foreign countries and spoofing the number you see.  Almost ALL of the scam calls you get are...the exception are actual collection agencies but IF you owe money, even from years ago they ARE allowed to call you within certain hours

 Our government or police have no control over the ones from other countries though...

 The do not call list won't work on non US based calls either and they will not just take you off their list!

 Just block the number or do not answer.  I have heard there are blocker that will block all robocalls but have not tried them.

this number just called me and the caller id said "test".  then there was a recording that i could not understand (foreign language).  all i could make out was something about taking 24-48 hours.
man, i am on the do not call registry, and i just does not work.  so tired of this.  is there any other way to stop these annoying calls?

Got a call from this number and the caller ID said LOCAL.  I did not answer the phone and when the answering machine picked up, there was a dial tone as if they hung up.

Phone number appears on my cell but they do not leave a message and I do not answer,

Got a call from this no.  Spoke to a man with a slight accent.  He offered me a card rate below 6%.   I asked where he was calling from. He never replied.  I kept asking questions and he hung up.  Then I called my bank and they said to ignore it and not accept the call in the future.

No answer when picked up.

I'm sick of getting calls from this number. "Test" on the CID. Finally answered and of course it was the credit card guy from WhoKnowsWhere, Pakistan.  I gave him a whole bunch of fake information and credit card numbers and took forever to give him the info. Might as well be a pain in the a$$ right back at him.

The message was that I can save money on credit card or something. I spoke to representative and I asked him who he's calling for because there's more than one credit card user in my home. He told me he's calling for me, then imitated me and said "bla bla bla" :) and hung up the phone. They are clearly professionals:).
