just got a call from the IRS [caller id said private caller].  Caller claims the irs has filed a law suit against me.

Same here! Probably a scam smh

I got the same call...automated voice, says IRS has filed lawsuit, this is your final notice, call 209-813-4131 immediately, etc.  Caller ID shows 213-141-5163, a number also associated with a Microsoft scam. I'm in Austin, Tx. and used to work for the regional IRS office here...this is not how they notify people of problems.

I received an automated phone call telling me the IRS filed a lawsuit and  this was my final notice; call 09-813-4131 immediately, etc. Said his name was Chris Nelson badge #252605.  He was Indian and threatened to send some one over to hand me an arrest warrant.  What upset me was that he knew my name, address and another piece of information.  I then hung up on him.

I got it too, same Indian person and they had no clue when i returned the call.  sounds fishy

Got a message saying I'm in trouble with the IRS. Robo voice and everything. Obvious scam because the IRS would have actual people calling. Otherwise they would notify with mail.

Same scam as described by others - claims to be from IRS. (The fellow had an accent.)  I called him back and asked for his name and IRS number.  He then quickly hung up when I asked him to repeat his IRS number.  Shame on these people.

Got the same call. Left a message saying it was "Officer (Blank)" calling from IRS as if they forgot to record someone saying a last name

Have received 2 calls in 2 days notifying me to call IRS at this # was a recorded message the first day only the first 2 words "office of" the call came in from 213-741-5163. This is a scam the IRS sends letters before they file law suits

I have received two calls as well from (213)141-5163. The first time I received the call I was in Texas, the second time was this morning at home in Los Angeles. The first time I received it, the recorded voice ended right after saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit. This time, it left me a message leaving the phone number to call as (209)813-4131. So I blocked the caller on my phone.

Same. I called the sheriff's office after my rather lengthy call with the scammer. He had a heavy accent.

Message left.  Recorded robo sounding said they'd been trying to get ahold of me & that IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.  I must call 209 813 4131 as this would be my final notice.  Seriously?  I've never received anything in the mail from IRS.  This is NOT how IRS operates.  Total SCAM

Super scam! Same exact experience. Robo voice called twice and said to call back same 209-813-4131.

Same as all others. I just let the answering machine take msg.

I received a call twice.  Unfortunately I did not research the phone number first and called.  The man had an accent and gave me his name Chris and badge number.  Threatened to have a warrant and freeze my assets if I did not say I would pay my debt.  That's when I figured out it was a scam.  Should have known better that IRS would send a letter first.

Call at 0945 from IRS.  Final Notice. call back.  Obviously a hoax. Do not return call.  Block caller if you can.

Same experience. Scared the hell out of me! Glad I decided to check on the number. Thanks folks, I feel much better now!

Same as above, I told him I had the irs on the line with me and he hung up and blocked ME from calling HIM back. Lol
