Calls all hours of the day or night. When answered, no one is ever on the other end or never leave a message. "West" calls from 17 other phone numbers:

The caller id show the name of "West". Yet, I research it some more, and read that it is "AT&T". They calls all hours of the day or night. When answered, no one is ever on the other end or never leave a message. "West/AT&T" calls from 17 other phone numbers:

Call a least twice a day no one on the line.

getting calls from this number. They hang up as soon as you answer. Do these people have a life??

this number has called twice a day for two weeks straight. I picked up once, and there was nothing. It rings three times, and then stops.

This number calls every day for the past 5 days.

I have recieved 3 calls from this number today. Several different caller ID things showed up. First was West, second Unknown, and third was Blocked Name.

WEST calls every day, even on Sunday morning. Hangs up on 4th ring, before I can get to it.
I am purposely not answering but just once would like to catch it in time and then tell them to stop calling.
I am registered on the no call list. Supposedly charities and phone companies are exempt.
I have AT&T service for my land line but never started getting these calls until a few weeks ago when I got an Iphone which also uses AT&T. Does that makes sense? The calls I am getting are on the land line.
I hope someone puts a stop to it soon.

Yeah the have been calling multiple times per day over the last week for me also.  When I call the number back it says something about authorized provider for AT&T. The call shows up as "WBS" and sometimes as "PRIVATE CALLER". I hate AT&T...what more can I say.  They call "ALL" the time and I never answer.  I already have phone service with them and would not have that if I could figure out a way around it.  I have to have a hard line for my alarm system and so I'm stuck with them for now.  I have always had trouble when I have to call them for anything, they always try to sell me something, and more times than one they have tried to screw me over by changing my long distance, etc.

They've been calling every few hours for the past few days.  We don't pick it up because we don't know who it is.  If they want to communicate with us, they should leave a message.  It's irritating.  We're on the do not call list, but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

"WEST" started for me a few weeks ago, but I've had no idea who it is, they never leave a message.  Telephones that can screen calls in some way are the only hope for this problem.  My current cordless phone comes close, I can assign one of seven different ring tones to each number in the directory, so at least I don't have to come to the phone to know its a junk call.

Identify themselves as AT&T - number 210-331-5229 (5 calls in 2 days)

Same issue, 2-3 calls a day for the last 4 weeks.  I called them and spoke with a Supervisor, she said that she would put me on the no call list, but it would take 30 days.  Then I called AT&T (second time), sounds like they do farm out some of their telemarketing.  If this is how they do business it's pretty sorry.  This company WEST, does not sound reputable, and could be a scam, so be careful folks

This number has been calling for the past couple of MONTHS, several times a week! We never pick it up, and they never leave a message. From these comments, it seems pretty shady. SO ANNOYING! Really fed up with this!!

Same problem as everyone else. Caller hang ups once a day all at the same time. I called AT&T and they said the number belongs to one of their authorized solicitors. They seemed to insist that I am the only on with this problem. Obviously not. I called 800-848-4158 ext 6673 and requested they block the number.

I get a call from these people at least three or four times a day, seven days a week! They will let the phone ring three times and hang up..... I am getting fed up with it!

What should I do?

Even if you are an AT&T customer, they are not permitted to abandon calls, by law they are required to answer and/or leave a message. Please file a complaint and hit them where it counts, in the wallet.
