Annoying calls from company claiming to be authorized by the NYC Fire Department to call businesses to inspect fire extinguishers. Nothing but illegal, business soliciting calls. This company should be investigated.

They called our office to setup an inspection. They act like a Gov. Agency. Stop calling please! Maybe you're licensed to inspect extinguishers, but you're not licensed to harass people with your calls. Bad and illegal business practices.

I have received several calls from this number and he told me he will call the police.

This scam is likely run by white people.

Call from the same company with extension 212. Very official sounding cold call telemarketing. They got on my answering service and left a message. This site has clarified the case. Thanks.

called in and said to confirm an appointment for an inspection.... who is the [***] and scam

Very arrogant. He just pushed me in rush and he mentioned it is mandatory.
After talking with this [***] guy, I did check my building management officer with this issue.
My building management officer advised me that I don't need to take care about this issue.

Duane your ignorance is bliss. You calling a specific race "sleazy" can be omitted. It has nothing to do with the company your upset with( which is most likely ran by Europeans). When your a pessimist you get pestered!

I worked for this Company for about 2 weeks.  Its a call center there are about 20 or 30 people there of varying races lol If things haven't changed in 13 years as from how it sounds it hasn't. They sit you down at a desk with a phone and a phone book.  They tell you the script and tell you to call people to solicit fire extinguisher inspections/tags.  When I was there they did sell extinguishers ( I think) .  I doubt they changed anything the people there likely don't have computers its a minimalist cold calling operation.  They chose an official sounding name to get a foot in the door, quite clever but definitely out dated as far as these things go :)

They called our office a few weeks ago and told me to check the tags on the fire extinguishers. I told them there were no tags. He said they have to be inspected and it will cost $75 and made an appointment. I told my office manager and he said that it's totally bogus. I cancelled the appointment and they kept calling almost every day for a week. Annoying!!

Scumbag organization. Pretends to be official, nothing more than a boiler room operation.

Her call stated she needed to schedule a fire extinguisher inspection and said she spoke to someone in our office regarding it. I asked who the person was and when she spoke to them completely avoiding the question. I put her on hold to inform our office manager of this call and when I returned she hung up. What a scam!
