I received a call from this number. Caller had a pronounced Indian accent and there was a lot of background noise as if he was calling from a phone bank with lots of others talking on phones around him. He identified himself as some with the government. I was told that I was selected for a grant for the government since I have always paid my taxes. The grant was for $5,000. He went on confirming my phone number and address and then asked me for my birthday. I refused to give it to him and he asked why. When I told him I was not buying this, he hung up.

i didn't answer... they left no message.

Wouldn't leave a message with me. I normally wouldn't answer calls from strange numbers, but we just detected credit card fraud on our card this morning from NYC, and wouldn't you know it, this phone call was from...wait for it...area code 212 (NYC). I would love for them to call back so I can jerk them around a bit. :-* Love you, scammers.

Got a call dis mornin n it said jeffrey beers 2127773455!!!! So i looked up the name!! He is famous architech or somethin similiar so i immediatly knew its a scam! Dey called bak n i told them i wasnt hme dey asked wen will i b available told dem n de evenin!! He had an indian accent

I just got a call from this number (Jeffrey Beers on the caller ID).  He said that my computer has been sending error message over the past few weeks.  I stopped him right there by telling him that that was not possible considering I no longer have the computer.  He hung up.

Don't feel dumb.  I've fallen for scams myself.  These people are sleazy professionals.  May they get scammed big time.  If we all SLAM our government representatives and get these people put away.  For a long long time.

I had a bad accident trying to rush to the phone to answer this call.  I was so mad and in so much pain I lost my temper and tried to call it back.  I got a message from some News Organization saying this was their old number and they were aware that SCAMS were now being done with their old number and proceeded to update their new actual number.  But they also pleaded not to blame them for misuse of their old number.  Now should I believe them?  I give up.  Where are our government representatives?  We need to SLAM them with phone calls and PROTECT US! !!!

Beware. Its best not even to answer these calls. For now scammers can record your voice. Invest in a call blocker app to block these calls.

I got a call from this number saying we had qualified for a government grant. After listening to the spiel for a few minutes I realized it was a scam.

Just call to verify it was me and hung up the phone.

This number calls me 5 to 6times a day then when I answer it they hang up!! Spam!!!

I think I struck a nerve with this scammer, he asked me how I was, and I said fine, as soon as he started into his spiel, I hung up upon hearing the words I am from the Grants Department. He called me back to which all he had to say was WHATEVER to which I didn't let him finish and hung up again.

Same for me! They just called me like an hour ago but I didn't answer. I'm also from Sweden so they must be pretty desperate if they are going worldwide... or maybe they have  heard that swedes are easier to fool lol
