FRI - May 30, 2008;
I got 17 calls from this number (on my cell phone) in 5-6 hours.
I "answered" the 1st 2 or 3 calls,inadvertently: No one there !?
I called the # back - thinking it was important,
since it was from CA and I a in the Midwest part of the US;
only to get a "circuit bust" signal.
I "GOOGLED" the # - and learned this is a scam of some sort.
I registered my number with https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx ;
only to find out registration does not take effect for 31 days".
MON - JUNE 02, 2008;
I have received 3 calls this morning -startinat 8:00 am cdst.
HOW DO WE STOP THIS !

I too have calls from this number 5 to 10 times a day, no message left or they do not say anything when I pick up. I stop picking up but it has yet to get them to stop and it has been months.

My comment is why post the fact that we are being harrased by the owner of this
213-228-8111.  Nothing is going to happen.  Don't be fooled in paying $34.00 to find out who is placing these calls.  They probably own the phone look up service. The best thing to do is to change your phone number and call you congressman.  I am having my phone number changed tomorrow.  There are two other
phone numbers out there that are also making these calls.  The second best thing to do is don't answer a call if you don't recognize the number.  IF IT IS IMPORTANT THEY WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE.

I'm getting these calls severals times a day. It's really annoying and I want it to stop!!! They call and no answer come on people....grew up!

I see I'm not alone.  I get calls several times from this number almost every day...no messages ever left...213 is a California area code, according to the phone directory...but beyond that, I know nothing more... Let's hope someone can find a way to stop the madness!!

It does not help to be on the do not call list for this num... I am on it and still had my phone ringing every 2 minutes while I was trying to run errands and use my phone.

Caller was a female and had Indian accent.  During initial call, I told them that I could not talk.  This number has proceeded to call me daily over 5x per day and hangs up when I answer.  I did try calling this number back and a recording states, "all service reps are w/ other callers"...moments later it states, "you are the next call in line"...I called two times, waited 10 minutes each time and then hung up b/c I did not want to run up MY phone bill.

When told the person they were looking for was unavailable continued to call all morning long. Clls started before 8:00a.m. This is becoming a pain in the ass. These people need to understand if someone is unreachable to stop calling

i have been recieving calls from this number for over a month and today they started at 7:58am and havent stoped i am up to a total of 23 calls today and its only 4:15pm this is crazy and i want it to stop i want to know who this is and why they are calling me WHAT DO THEY WANT???

Tey call my number in the evening starting at about 4:30,from then on they keep calling about every 15 min or so. I tries to call the number back, but no one ever answers I stayed on hold for 15 min before hanging up. How do I get these people to stop calling me???!!!

This number has been caaling all times of the day & into the evening.

I have been getting calls from this # all morning. They called again as I was reading these posts and I answered. No one said a word. After about 3 hello's on my end, I hung up. They've never called me until today, but I guess they're making up for lost time. Annoying, to say the least.

Thank you for the information I could not figure out who was calling me from this number. I called the number back several times and was on hold for over 5 minutes. This telephone number has called my phone 13 times today and the day is not over!

These guys keep calling and not leaving a message.  They are calling late at night which is starting to piss me off.  I tried to call back, but was immediately put on hold and no one ever answered.  Gonna try to catch the next call just so I can lay into someone.

who ever it is has called me 5 times sofar today in the last 2 hours now its starting to piss me off when i answer they wont stay on the line for more than 2 sec and isant telemarketing against the law to call a cell phone hey speak of them now there calling again 6 times now OMG and when u do call them it says that all reps are busy and then it will say all reps are still busy then it will say ur call is next in line then it will never connect.

Globalresearch keeps calling my home phone and says nothing. The last call I asked them not to call if they were not going to say anything and they hung up.
