who is this and why are they calling me

Got the call, but didn't get a message about the cruise or the loan.  Bummer, I wouldn't mind a paid vacation.

What they mean is "press 9 to be added to the repeat calling list"...  Just like replying to email spam, this just confirms there's a live body on the other end of the line that they can keep harrassing.

When answered, no one spoke for several seconds then hung up.  No answer on call back.

Yet another instance of I didn't answer the call, and they didn't leave a message.  I'm continually baffled at how these telemarketers (or should I call them con artists?) can "stay in business" (with what are almost certainly spoofed phone numbers).  Their abuse of robo-calling has undoubtedly expanded the usage of voice mail.

I received a call from this number.  It was an automated message that said "don't hang up" and then disconnected the call. I tried calling back to find out the name of the company and it was busy. Thanks for the information - I've blocked the caller.

This is a call from the Hindu goddess kali worshipers society. This is a  notorious murder cult. you need to give them no information and really report it to the police. These are very bad people. Watch the movie Gunga-din to get the full picture, the police are looking for information about these people as they are very dangerous.

Called received 905 am 4-30-2015  just answered and no one spoke ....Annoying and stupid people that have nothing or better to do !! I called verizon and  put a rejected phone call on them incase they call back ..

This is funny...I know Tehachapi, I lived there for over 10 years and still have friends there. I got a call from this number this morning, and nobody left a message, so I came looking and found this post.

I can tell you this about Tehachapi. First, any call that actually comes from the area will have a 661 area code. Second, they do have a time share resort, but it is absolutely not a "naturalist" resort, unless they are referring to the lack of modern amenities. If they are talking about a "nudest" resort, absolutely not. It is an extremely conservative community, and you would find yourself arrested, or worse if you ventured outdoors in that way. It is old condos on a sub-par golf course in a community known as Stallion Springs.  Now, it is in the mountains, and they call it the "land of four seasons," but locals add "in a day" because the weather is extremely unpredictable.

It is a nice community for country living, or if you want to just get away from everything. But there are few amenities for city folk, so plan accordingly...

Nice place to visit, but I don't ever want to live there again...

Called me, I answered, call was ended about 3 seconds later (no voice, no sound, no click - call dropped). Oddly my co-worker was called about 3 minutes before me from the exact same number and he came to my office saying he just got a call he didn't recognize but asked if I knew the area code - he didn't pick up the call. We started discussing work-related stuff and within 2 minutes I received a call from the same number. So, I picked it up. But nothing happened, call just dropped. My co-worker and I are both Verizon customers so I suspect who ever is calling may be targeting numbers from a certain provider? Either way my co-worker and I were stunned that the chances that we were both called within a matter of minutes from the same spam number is pretty remarkable.

Received a call from this number at 11:03am on 5/1/15. I did not answer, and they didn't leave a voicemail. When I tried to call it back, I got the following:

Verizon Wireless... the number you called has either been changed or disconnected, or is no longer in service..."
