The prefix "257" changed the area code from 213 to 323 at least over 10 years ago so you you know it's a scam (I live in L.A. so I know this). It was a recording stating that I won a trip to the Bahamas. Yeah right!!!

It's spelled Tehachapi, it's in Kern County. Like 30 miles south of Bakersfield.

9:30am....didn't answer and they left no message. Hate this.

Got a call from 213.257.5233 at 9:30 this morning. Picked up said hello, silence, so I hung up. Called back and got a recording that the I have dialed is no longer in service. Telemarketer 😡

caller id says LA area- no message

Loser called and bugged me

After they called me, I called them. I got a recorded message from Verizon Wireless stating that the number is no longer in service. Anybody who would like to complain about this number, therefore, should complain to Verizon Wireless.

Just got a call on my cell phone - answered but it just clicked and hung up.

Called but left no message.

Received two calls from on my cell in quick (rude) succession... while I was talking ... so didn't pick up. Later notice it was two calls back-to-back, so curiously I dialed back. Outgoing message: "This is Verison Wireless and the number you have dialed in no longer in service..." So they are using this dead number as an outgoing caller ID number... not too clever/nice/useful.

Calls at 10 pm ttief to call back and unable to go thru it says check the number and try again

They keep callin and when I answer it's a hang up.  When I  call back it says this number has been disconected or no longer in service so how did I get a  call from them.

I'm not disagreeing with you that this call is a scam but I thought I would let you know that Tehachapi (not Teehatchapee) California is an actual real place. Pretty little town in the mountains a bit outside of Bakersfield

This number called saying it was in LA on the caller ID and didnt leave a message. I tried to call back but the number was disconnected. Sketchy!!

Called twice in weekend. No message left.  Blocked

Got a call from this # just now, recorded message about getting a free cruise for answering a short survey. Chose "9" to be removed from their list. But, I've gotten this exact call before (though I don't know if it was from the same #), and chose "9" then, too, so you see how well that works.
