- BiancaIm from the netherlands. I just got a call from a man who knew my name. He had an indian accent. He said his name was russell and he worked at the headquarter of windows in london and that i have some problems with my windows on my computer. He told me that when i connect to the internet, a virus wants to enter my computer. Therefore i should immediately switch on my comp and he would guide me and fix the problem. I told him that i'm not interested and ended the conversation.
I dont trust it so i googled this number and i see that more people get calls from this guy.- Caller: Kpn
- angry_foneTold these [***] to fuk off in no uncertain terms!
- JamalGot a call from this Co.identified as MGL BPO by my caller id. Didn't pick up. Left some message that I didn't understand. Probably a scammer.
- Caller: MGL BPO
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ChoogeI just got the same call from that number. Asked me to verify my name, which was the only thing I could understand. I reminded him that they called me. Kept saying that I couldn't understand and that I needed someone who could speak English. The guy got a little testy with me. Told him I was keeping track of the calls and wanted off their list for about the sixth time. We'll see. Hope too many people don't get scammed.

- EmleyMoorMy partner's phone got two fairly similar calls in the space of 10 minutes, both supposedly about credit-related matters. The second one had this caller ID (no country code, although we can and should get them). The call was very noisy at first and my response to "Can I speak to Mr. <his name>?" was "On a line that noisy I don't think so!". The noise quickly stopped. I asked them their purpose for calling. When pressed for information as to who I was, I told them "The telephonist. Now, go away!"
As this is such a hardcore scamming number, it won't get through here again. My partner also took the action of disallowing withheld-number calls, after the first one which I suspect was the very same people.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Epic FailThey tried this scam with me too and I didn't fall for it - Thankfully!
- Caller: MGL BPO
- CameronI got similar call a MGL BPO 1 213 333-3206 he told me I had been reported as downloading a virus and that they were Windows Alert System. I asked him how he knew what I had downloaded. I asked him who my provider was. I would not give him any clues. He couldnt answer those questions.
He kept saying "your a windows user, yes or no". If yes then you have downloaded a virus from your updates. in the last two week.
I said this" I DO NOT have automatic updates and have not downloded or updated in weeks, so you are full of BS and hung up.- Caller: MGL BPO
- shayThis number has called my place a few times within the last couple of weeks.
Whenever I answer, all I hear is a beep and then the automated "good bye"
Freaking annoying! - Nils replies to tabbykittenI just had them on my phone (same story) he wanted to send me a patch...
The (manipulated ?) number was 001(213)333-3206 and there was a 2nd line (never get that feature on my phone otherwise) saying "Los Angeles, CA" - DennisRecieved a call from a guy with a heavy indian accent who identified himself as Eric. Caller ID showed the call came from 213 333 3206 and MGL BPO. I told him I was on the US do not call registry, to which he responded with "come again" come again come again until he hung up.

- meriI just got a call from the same guy - he was extremely rude and would not answer any of my questions. I hung up on him..... he called back! My husband answered and told him off! Don't listen to this guy - he tries to tell you he's calling because you have a Windows error and then tries to get you to look at your computer..... I'm sorry, if I have a problem with my computer, I will know it and don't need some jerk, who can hardly speak english telling me I have a problem, and being rude to me on top of it.
- VezaloJust got a call from this number. Said hello twice. No one answered. Line went dead. Unplugged my computer from my modem just in case.
- Caller: MGL BPO
- Called BS on themJust called my number, knew my name, mention everything above, I said "I call B...S...T, this is a scam, I'm recording this and turning it in to authorities, then the hindi accented fellow, challenged,, "Can you prove this is a scam", I said "yes, and you will e caught,", he taunted more "you can prove this really, then he hung up!!!!" I will be reporting to FTC, 5 family members in numberous states, and local ness channels have advised us all about this! Report it people! Then I blocked my number, and called back this number, it was answered by an auto answerer, saying "thank-you for calling back about our product, press 1, if you want to be removed from our call list press 2, then it disconnected before I selected anything!

- Little LuluSame as most of the other comments: SCAM ! Girl with Indian accent claims to be calling from Windows Tech Services. Ha ! I don't even use Windows on my MAC.
I hung up FAST !- Caller: Scammer
- ChrissieSeems like I'm on the list of every scam artist in the world these days. The latest one said, "Mrs. _____?" I hung up before he could annoy me with whatever bullcrap he had planned. What always amazes me is that these cretins can barely speak English. We can assume that "[***]" is the universal language!

I just received a call from "Windows support". A guy with a very big asian accent is telling me that my computer is sending a virus out through their satellite. And that I have to go in front of my computer so he can tell me what to do.
I could not understand him very well but an alarm bell started ringing. I could hear many other people (like if he was in a very large call center)... I've been having a computer for more than 20 years.... never got a call like that even though I had viruses before...
So I told him that was a weird call, that I would not do anything to my computer under his instructions, that I would myself call Windows or take my computer to a technician I trusted (naming my vendor), that I did not want him to call back.
He did not knew my name, was talking very fast, trying not to let me put in a word.
I hung up.
Like Windows technical support would call me and not know my name.... but have a phone number linked to my Windows software.- Caller: Windows technical support so they said
- g| 1 replyThis number is repeatedly calling, even at 10:00pm. 213-333-3206 Caller ID MGL BPO . Reverse lookup says it's an LA based cellphone. Haven't anwered the call, and they don't leave a message.
- Frank replies to gI'm in the UK and had this call. My CLI showed as +2133333206 so I asked him what country he was calling from as I didn't recognise country code 21. He said the Netherlands, so I told him the Netherlands was code 31 not 21. I don't think he understood but he offered to tell me his number than read out my number. After another minute or so arguing he hung up.
If this is a US number the CLI should have a 1 between the + and the 2. - MarieI got a call from the same number telling me the same stuff. I asked him which computer he was referring to because we owe 5. He told me to go to my desktop computer which is the computer seldom used in the house. He just assumed that's what I was using. He kept insisting that he was calling from Microsolf and wanted to help me clean my computer. I started thinking that Microsoft had never tried to help me in the past without requesting money and why would they start helping me now plus if Microsoft was removing viruses from computers, the virus protection companies would go out of business pretty quick. The guy spoke English but did not understand it too well. I told him to leave his number and that I would call him back after I talked to my son in law who is a computer expert. He gave me this number which I did not try to call: 718 414 6518 and told me his name was Steve Wilson even though he sounded more Indian than American.
