Just last night I received a reply from the same number mentioned here. I was applying for a "front office/ receptionist position at an electrical contracting company"  on Craigslist, Nashville. He is now going by the name Fraricus Greylond. I am very upset bc I attached my resume (which contained personal data like my home address, phone, email and public profile on LinkedIn -which also has a picture of me!)  ;((

I am going to take your advice and submit a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I hate this vulnerable feeling and he MUST be stopped!

exactly the same thing he sent me! but not he is using the name Fraricus Greylond, and offered $450 a week. I'm so irritated right now! he has more personal info than he should...being that I initially responded with my resume which contained my home address, ph, email, and public profile on LinkedIn!   I hope the FTC steps up quick!

I am so irritated about this and I am filing a complaint with FTC also.  I cringe knowing that I submitted my resume with home address, ph, email, and public profile info for the professional site: LinkedIn! now this jerk has more info on me than he ever should have!

I am wondering....since he got you too in just the last 24hrs, were you replying to Nashville TN area ad?  That is where he snagged me on CL

Same thing happened to me...he used the name Hamo Leofwan.  I just received the check today even after I emailed back to him that I wasn't interested.

I submitted a complaint to the FTC just now, after reading all these descriptions. Email exchange only by gg.greg6@aol.com going by the name of Mike Greg.

I got the same email after replying to the post. He signed it Noah Theobald. Weird....

Whooooooa, woke up to email from this guy this morning and got excited because he is now labeling it an "art gallery" under the name Daniel Anderson. You think this [***] [***] would change the phone numbers he lists! He has my résumé and some personal information! How have they not [***] caught this guy yet? This is ridiculous!

Also got this email from a "Daniel Anderson" on Oct 22. Why has no one responded to what you should do if you receive a check or something from this guy?

I replied to general labor posting on craigslist he said his name was Brian Peters in his e-mail response beware people.

I got one from a Joe Sheneman; he claimed it was an office position at the first. I started to suspect something when started giving me the actual details of the job; talking about how I need to use my bank account to do tasks for him and that he wouldn't be able to meet me or put me at a desk yet because he was "out of town". Then I get another one from Philip Stephenson, same deal more money as if that would entice me.  Worst part is I sent him the same resume I give to all potential employers so he definitely knows who I am or could find me if we wants. I hope someone shuts this guy down.

I got the same guy too a couple days ago... I went back on craigslist to check out the posting.  And of course it's not even there anymore. So I can't even report the [***].

Does FTC help get your money back??..... I am asking because I was a victim of him too... and I lost a lot of my money because of him.

My Son got a check from Noah Theobald with a simple no return address letter from UK from someone called Savannah Johnson.
This after answering job sites on CL.
Check looks fake but is from ENT in Colorado Springs which is a finance company.My suspition was aroused because it came from UK with no return address.
              This is obviously a scam from someone using CList to contact people desperatly looking for a job.
My opinion is if you cashed the check and its fraud you could get prosecuted or if you deposited the check into your account then details of your account would go direct to this guy in some way.
              I have read all the messages on this site and all seem to be about the same scam and possibly same guy.
My advice is have no further contact check your bank accounts daily for any suspicious activity and also your credit card accounts each day for same .
I will keep the check and the letter intact and not do anything with it in case it becomes a legal case.
Its in a safe place. I would have absolutely no further contact with this person at all and not answer any e-mails or have any further communication

This "Noah theobald" also contacted my mom today and the Craig's list post disappeared the next day.

Got the same message from "Noah Theobald". Has dangerous written all over it.
