I got a call from this number too.
Well, it's a good way to make people busy at this time, may be with this call,
it save 1, 2 ... or 20 jobs. Don't be made, we make same one get pay with this, by call them back.

I received few 2 call from this machine. Now I call once a day and I fake a answering machine in french language, because it's an only english line and I lived in Québec!!!!

Their unsolicited calls are a pain in the butt...in particular because my number is on the pan-Canadian NO-SOLICIATIONS LIST!!!
Isn't there some means of blocking these solicitation calls?

Buy yourself an Airhorn (Radio Shack, Canadian Tire) and let them have it when they start talking. Hee !

I have received many of calls from 213-537-1095, 234-567-8900 and also from another number 000-000-0000 which also appears on my caller ID, it's all from the same company!  My dad has researched the number and found out that it is a company called Mutual Consolidated Services. He has a very effective way of getting these calls to stop.

1. He calls their 800 # 877-891-1348 or 800-943-3250.
2. He asks for Chris the compliance officer.
3. He tells Chris "Do not call my number! If you do, this is what will happen, for every one of your calls, I will call 100 times and bother you because you are bothering me!"

This is not illegal to do. It ties up their lines and it's makes him VERY angry!:mad: If he says he's going to call 18 division Police department, tell him he's full of it, cause there is no such thing!
And if you want to throw something else in there to make him know you're serious. Tell him Mike said HI!

This is a very effective way to deal with this company because my dad is not receiving anymore calls!

Same thing here.  They called me here in Montreal.  I have no way to get rid of them!!

If you can't beat them, join them.  I have pressed 1 talked to a live representative and waisted her time for close to 10 minutes.  Please note you have to pretend you have more than $6000 debt on your credit card.  Please note: NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER or ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION, THEY ARE SCAMMERS.

I get this too. It occurred to me that the only way I know of to
to this cheap is with Magicjack. Also there is another area code
associated with this scam (231) and Magicjack allows random area
codes. I live in Ottawa Canada and have an area code in New York
because Magicjack does not yet have Canadian area codes.
Just a thought , maybe Magicjack would co-operate if they were
found implicated and help police track down the culprits.
There may be other voice over internet products that do the same,
police can trace phone numbers as well as tazer innocents.
