how do they manage to call us when we are ona  do not call list?

Got a call from caller id '214-283-1316'
They left vm but did not identify themselves.
The vm was "if you wish to be added to our do not call list, press 3"

I do not want to receive any of these types of calls anymore!

Just recieved this call. they hung up before I could answer the phone. I couldn't call them back as the number cannot be called,traced, or whatever elso the operator said. Irving TX and I am in Tennessee.

Prerecorded message to press some number. Even though it's a survey company isn't covered under FCC regs about computer dialed numbers and an automated response when answered? Instead of complaining to the FCC maybe we should complaining to our congressman.

just got the call, got my machine, asked if "you are over 18"

Just got a call from this number (9/1; 6:40 PM)!  Answering machine picked up.  But are you kidding me?  Today is a holiday!  What's with these people anyway, and what good is being on the Do Not Call Registry doing me?  You get a chance to press 3 to be taken off the list.  Done!!

got a call from this number this morning in California.  I did not pick up the number.

called just 20 mnutes ago  did not answer as I don't talk to people I do not know or recognize their numbers. sounds weird to me. how can we shut them down? I feel for the seniors,etc.

I'm going to talk to my land-line provider and if they can't block the call, I'm going to threaten to cancel my land-line service, which I've been thinking about doing anyway.  If the phone companies realize they have to help people out on this or lose customers, perhaps they'll join us in fighting back.

Get a life people......annoying calls are part of life and will be , as long as there are phones....Gheese...lol
