Just received a call - automated message to call back & I did - same story I owe them money and since I was being "too smart" the sheriff is going to be at my home door in 1 hour to arrest me for not paying an overdue tax.

Scam.  Claims to be the United States Department of the Treasury - claiming that a tax fraud case has been brought against me in Federal Claims court.  Don't fall for it.

Very unconvincing. Recording claiming that you need to call Judy Smith with department of US treasury concerning a tax fraud. #1 I'm completely honest and careful w my taxes. #2 you're not going to get a phone call concerning IRS matters. Pathetic

By any chance did anyone order from eBay and go through PayPal recently...?  I got the same voicemail today and wondering if there's any connection with my bank account being compromised after ordering through EBay yesterday ..didn't realize the co was located in China

I got a call from this number just now and they left me a message informed me I was under investigation for tax fraud and that I need to contact them immediately or else I would be arrested.  The strangest thing is that it was a digital recording, like it was computer generated prerecording.

Same thing happened to me! I hope the authorities catch these fools. It's a fairly scary message and has the propensity to scare ppl into giving personal info to thieves.

The same thing everyone else said that they the IRS n that I owe money to them I was really scare I was even crying but when I started asking them questions they hang up so I figure there was something funny so I google these number n this came out so I know it was a fraud. Thanks so much for letting me know.

Same deal as everyone else, message cuts off at beginning and insinuates that we committed tax fraud and is treasury is taking us to court, to call immediately

Got a call, claiming to be an officer and they had federal charges against me in the courts, didn't mention my name but, ask me to call back on a different number. They didn't repeat the call back number so weren't to worry about me getting it.  I called rockwell tx and they said they were getting a lot of these calls just, watch your bank accounts and etc. They were scamming.

I just got the same call  telling me the same story about a tax fraud case filed against me, with the exact infor to call  214-771-7043 it was a recorded message  from the us treasury dept

I got the exact same message so I called them back and was told the same thing again that if didn't resolve this I would be arrested and I'd have to settle my debt for past taxes in Federal Court . This is a scam, the man who called me was hard to understand due to his thick Indian accent

DONT GIVE OUT ANY IFORMATION ...My wife got a call from 214-771-7043 when I answered it was an automated message stating it was the US Treasury about a matter with the IRS and to resolve this urgent issue please call 214-771-7043.  So I called the number. Oriental guy answered US Treasury and I told him I got a call from them he asked my name…told him and he put me on a brief hold.  Came back on the line and told me it was for my taxes in 2011-2012 that I was holding out money and I owed them.  Asked me why I didn’t pay them what I owed and was I trying to hide money.  I told them I wasn’t hiding anything and I have my taxes done by someone every year.  He asked who did my taxes and told him I would have to look because I couldn’t remember if we were here or still in Abilene.  I asked if he could send me a copy of what they tried to serve me with and he said no he wasn’t able to do that because of IRS law.  I told him nobody has been to my house, mailed me anything or anything and asked what address they were going to. He wanted me to give him my address and I told him no where are they going?  He said stated an address which was incorrect. So he said I was trying to hide.  He said he was going to send the paperwork and affidavit to the sherrifs office of the town I lived in and they would be calling me at my number and would be there within an hour to arrest me at my home or place of employment. And hung up.
Guy was very hard to understand and I couldn’t understand his name.

My wife called number back to see if I could get a name and case number.  Man with heavy accent answers US Treasury.  I ask who am I speaking to?  Silence. I said hello?  Man replies US Treasury.  I said yes Can I please ask who I am speaking to.  Silence again.  I said Hello man said yes. I said can you please tell me your name.  he says something but I can’t hear or understand him It’s a mumble.  I asked him to spell it.  He didn’t say anything. I said someone from this number called me and he replies get lost stupid lady and hangs up the phone

They probably would not get it anyway (Fred Flintstone) as they have not discovered television in Bombay yet.  Self pleasure all day long between scam phone calls, probably.

Same thing happened to me

The caller from the above number claimed he was calling from the U.S. Treasury, stating I had not filed taxes and owe money.  When I attempted to get information from this person, he disconnected the call.  I am a soc. sec. recipient, and not required to file.  This is some type of scam, I think is targeting senior citizens.
