BEWARE...This is a prank call; will probably get around to asking for money.  Ignore calls from 214-771-7043.  This is not a government agency!

I called this number back and asked "who is this?", Indianish sounding kid says it is the department of treasury and starts laughing. I asked from what country? I stated this is a scam. This ignorant individual starts calling me names; says I'm a [***], an old lady...  Why cant our government put a stop to selling our phone numbers to other countries?  Why can't they shut these people down?

Received a call an  Indian accent. Saying he was United states treasury department.
I needed to send $1400 or go to jail  for 2003 back taxes. Been calling them back now they won't answer. On my way to the IRS office (in my home town)

RELAX folks this is just a prank. This particular gag is initiated by someone you know to get you all flustered and annoyed. By entering your phone # you get a recorded message which is a poor attempt to be funny.

Are you stupid? This is the second biggest scam in th U.S., after the Windows one. It has been around for many years and was all over the Tv news last week. The treasury has said so far this year scammers have have conned $25 million  and they reckon to date an estimated $ 145 million has been  swindled. Hardly a harmless prank. Check out the IRS website.
