I was surprised to see that the call registered on CallerID with a phone number; no message was recorded. Upon checking here, I discovered, as expected, that it was a spam call. For all the help it does (or doesn't!), I filed a complaint at <www.donotcall.gov>.

PS: After doing a *67 (to block my callerID, I attempted calling the number. After four or five rings a recording stated "the mailbox for this person is full." Yeah, right!

called us on 1/15/2008 @ 8:07pm.  no one on line when we answered.

Continually get calls from this number. The caller always hangs up when I answer.

Second time this number 215-717-8871 has called.  When we answer no one is there.  when we tried to call back it rang four times then picked up and message said voice mail was full and cannot leave a message.  Shows Philadelphi, PA on caller id.

this number just called at 9:00pm on the dot.  when I did a reverse number search on www.411.com, it gave me only the following info:

Many times, they will give an individual's or company's name if available...

got call from this number, immediately i began pressing the # sign about 10 times, doing this removes my number from their data base, try it, it works, they will not call back

I don't know anyone from this area code...but looking at the complaints above I am getting the feeling that the first call (and hangup last) last night most likely will not be the last. ~ HHJJ (happy happy joy joy)

I am on both the Local and National 'no call list' so I really wish these people would 'stop'. I NEVER buy ANYTHING over the phone anyway. With the rise in ID theft...buying something from someone that 'calls you' (in cases were you did not initiate the call) is just dumb!

It would be nice if the government would start enforcing the 'no call lists', but with all the 'loop holes' they wrote into the laws....that most likely will not happen anytime soon.

received calls x 3 from this number between 1/22 and 1/23 it was a canned message; it was from Philadelphia.,PA  once no message left one machine.....we live in NV

Annoying because this number is calling every day and at random times.  Because we have been broken into several times we thought it might be someone checking on the house to see if it's vacant.  Always a hang-up.

Incessant calls from this number - no one answers - just silence.  So annoying!!!  Caller ID shows up as Out of Area - no name.

i do not have caller id  and have answered the phone a lot with no one on the line.  my message is different than all of yours    the message for me was
"this is for  frank  (unitelligible)   we are calling about a severely past due invoice which must be paid by march 8 to avoid referral to a collections agency.  then they gave the invoice number.   in the past i have received several phone calls where the person is asking for frank (cant remember the last name).  so i think frank owned my number before me.  anyway  here is what i think.  just imagine that a part of the fbi is making a national voice recognition database using the word  hello.  they know who owns the phone number listed.  so now they have a recording of your voice.  if you are ever in the future wanted by the fbi all they have to do is phone all the numbers and see if the voice they are looking for answers.

Returned from trip to see number on caller ID.  When I called to check, got a message saying that the message box is full. Annoying

This is the number for the American Spinal Care Association(732)741-1000, and the 215-717-8871 is their telemarketing firm.  They are pretty slick, and they want your name and address.  I just asked them to take my number off their list, and they did not need my name to do this.

I got info on how to get off their list. Just call 866-882-5006 and it will prompt you to enter your phone # to get it removed from their list.
