Received 3 back to back recorded phone calls from 215-734-0222 that went to voice mail from a male, with either a Fijian or Indian accent, stating the US Treasury Department was taking me to the federal grand jury, etc, for a criminal offense if I didn't respond.  He left a different call back number, 213-293-3920.  

Went to the Fed Trade Commission website and filed a complaint.

This is a total scam...

Scam call about owing back taxes and getting arrested.  Name given was Steve Martin or Modden.  Also uses number 213 293 3920.  Just tell him that you are reporting him to the police and he hangs up right away.

I keep getting continuous phone calls from Steve Marin(?) from Hurst. Caller I.D says Backbone Commun... (sometimes it's private) and says I need to call back 213-293-3920 regarding an enforcement action from the U.S. Treasury. They say ignoring this message could result in a 2nd attempt to contact me where I could appear before a magistrate judge or a grand jury.  The voicemail encourages me to cooperate and call back!!!! I'm sick of them calling!!!!

Multiple prank calls- foreign accent (likely from India) - Threat of arrest and facing grand jury if don't call back re back taxes - had it before from a different number. IRS does NOT operate this way EVER. IRS will contact you by regular mail, identifying the office, officer in charge, and other details, NEVER by phone if there is an issue re taxes BY LAW. DO NOT call back or provide ANY personal information if you do. They've hijacked someone's number, so likely the call back number is different from what appears on your phone.

I got 3 calls today, a bunch last week from 215.734.0222. The guy said he was Steve Modesry(sp?) and said I had to call back at 213.293.3920 or I could be arrested. This is a scam. Makes me want to disconnect my phone.

Received the same call 4 times in a row... When I started to question him he hung up.... Big Scam....his voice sounded like he is from India...

Same story as everybody else reported. I hung up immediately and did not even listen to whole recording.
It's a shame this can not be put to a stop.

Got 3 messages today. All voicemails were the same over and over.  Same info as everyone else who posted. Very frustrating. Just ignored.

Same here!  Got three calls....total scam. I hope these guys are caught and have to appear in front of a Grand Jury or Federal Magistrate.

I just got that same call this morning here in Michigan.
I figured that it was a scam.  It was a computer generated
call, and threatened me with enforcement by the U. S.
Treasury if I did not call back.

I got three calls today.  This is the second round.  Not even a D.C. area code this time. This group called me a few months ago. Got a call about warrant for arrest. Something about federal magistrate and second offense and must call back in order to comply with demands. I called back to order them to put me on the do not call list. I wanted to tell the guy to kiss my [***] but all I got was a voice message so I hung up and did a internet search. Sounds like the same guy who is calling all of you. I wish they would lock these guys up. I'm getting real tired of all the [***] calls.

This is an unwanted call that appears to be a scam.
I would like to know what actions are available to me to pursue a thorough investigation.
I hope this get reported to the proper authorities, whom will  deal with the perpetrators with the intent to  punish them to the fullest extention of the law.

I got two phone calls from this number, a man named Steve Martin, saying about US Treasury matter with an accent. I called the number from my work phone and no answer.

This person claims they Anthony Coope the number is now not in service but not before they were able to scam $4500 from my 80 year old father!

Glad I found this message board. I figured it was a scam.
