I got two calls saying I had to report to US Treasury and IRS.
One number to return was 213-401-2052
Another from a woman saying 202-506-9680

Received a call from 2157340222, saying there was an enforcement action for a Federal Criminal Offense from US Treasury against me. Ignoring this call would be considered  an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid an initial appearance before a magistrate
judge or grand jury. Advised to cooperate so they can help me. Caller identified himself as Steve Modern.

This is a scam!!!! They prey on  naïve people. They sound Asian scaring you with a federal criminal offense. They try to fool you by saying to avoid a federal enditement from the dept. of treasury call this number (213) 293-3920. The number they call in on is (215)734-0222. He pretends to be Steve Moderate. Where is law enforcement??????????????? Why does the phone company allow these scams??????????????

I got the same message from someone with a strong accent.
"Hi this message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding enforcement actions executed by US treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an additional second attempt to white?  initial appearance before Magistrate judge-or-grand(?) jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 559-836-5616. I repeat 559-836-5616. I advise you to cooperate with us and helpe us to help you. A woman voice comes on and say Good Bye."  Caller id shows private with the number of 215-734-0222

I got the same message from someone with a strong accent.

He said he was from the Treasury Department and I could be arrested. AT&T defended the caller and was not helpful. They sell gateway services into their network for this lines that come from India.

I just got a similar message but from a different phone number. Here's the full transcription:

Hi. This message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Modern and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action executed by U.S. Treasury intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a Federal criminal offense. My number is 267-499-4090. I repeat 267-499-4090. I'd like you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you.

I got the same messages as other people are describing (the wording, the accent, the sound cutting in and out). I got four messages in one day--all recorded--I never spoke directly with whoever is calling. The callback numbers varied across the calls -- twice, the callback number given was 215 734-0227. Once it was 215 734-0226. Once it was quite different -- 267 499-4090.  I'm thinking I'll go to the TIGTA website listed in these postings to report it.

I got a call on my cell phone from 3152876575. I reverse tracked it. I found out it was from Syracuse NY. Although there are companies which have the ability to change their phone locations.
I didn't answer. The recorded message left was just like the ones above: magistrate, criminal offense, cooperate, let us help you. I was startled. But I receive so many telemarketing calls that I figured that this was a scam. I must be on a lot of their lists.
I'm going to ignore it. If I do pick up and the caller says that line to me I'm just going to say that I'm on to this scam.

Got a message on my cell phone saying I was involved in a Federal Criminal Offense etc etc, so I called back and some lady on voice mail said sorry nobody is hear at this time. It's a scam and I knew it because I have had similar calls from the IRS. All BS and if the person was in front of me they would need plastic surgery
