Just received the call from 225-226-5414 to get a free trip to the Bahamas if you answered 5 survey questions. I answered & it said to press 1 to speak with someone. Well of course I did & it hung up. Then I received another call from
318-514-7940 to confirm my free trip & to get information. The guy even gave me his Corporate ID# GE 1040. I let him talk some more but eventually I hung up b/c I just didn't believe it.

Caller ID just had the #.  Left no message.

Please stop this number from calling me...they ring my phone off the hook all day long..

This is not a nonprofit or a police support organization asking for donations. It is a telemarketer from Baton Rouge, LA that appears to be pushing a time share or resort or something similar. They've been persistently calling both my land line AND my cell phone and I do not publicize or randomly give out my cell number. The tip off came when they said that I recently rented a car from Avis, which I did last fall and, on the application, I listed both of my numbers. Big mistake, I realize now. Apparently Avis either sold them my numbers (along with many other customers, undoubtedly) or the thing these people are selling is an Avis-affiliated company and I inadvertently agreed to let them give my number to their affiliates "for marketing purposes," as they are so fond of stipulating. I don't know if this is the case but I am going to go back and re-read my contract with Avis and, if it is indeed in there, I may go to a lawyer and make a test case for allowing people to opt out of these types of promotions. In the meantime, though, I cussed these people out on their recording and told them not to call either of my numbers again. If they do then I will take it to the next level. That's a promise!

I now answer no calls unless I recognize the number.  I've even seen call number with MY number displayed.

If a message is left, I may call them back.  The taxpayer funded DO NOT CALL list does what?

I answered the call.  No one speaks, then it's hung up.  Call back and Verizon notes that this number has been disconnected

This number is calling my landline and now cell phone.  I did not answer.  Putting the call on a block, but they will call from another number.  Definitely not a good number to call you.  Block it!

This number calls me several time a day.  Most times they hang up but sometimes they say it's a government office that's been authorized to give me thousands of dollars if I provide my bank info...

This # keeps calling and never says a word!  I think this is some kind of scam!

I want to know who it is

Calls occur 2-3 times a day. Caller leaves no message. Caller ID says "Wireless caller."

Returned missed call from this number. Automated message saying welcome to Verizon wireless. This number has been disconnected

Comes up as a wireless number on caller ID.
I still have a answering machine [and no ringers on] on my landline. If I hear someone I know, I pick up, otherwise, never answer a call on landline anymore since it's only telemarketers.

I called the number back after my phone rang 4 times and stopped.  A message came in said the number is disconnected (Verizon).   How can a disconnected phone call someone ?

I did not recognize the #, so I didn't answer. Looked it us & saw that it was from Louisiana & other callers had negative comments.

This is the third time this number calls me.  It's also the last, because I've now blocked it.  (Actually, they might still call, but I'll never know...)

While I'm not in 225, it's reasonably close, and it's not entirely out of the question that I might get a legitimate call from 225, so I had picked it up once, and it was some recorded message.

I suppose there must be enough people responding to this kind of stuff for it to be worthwhile.  Which I find amazing.

We are on do not call list. so stop calling! This number is very annoying keep on calling!
