Recently called me while I was on another call, so I didn't answer. Called them back after business hours, and got a message saying they were a survey/research company. Followed automated prompts to remove me from their call list. They acknowledge the fact that they are federally required to remove your number from their lists once it has been requested. Hasn't called me back, so seems to have worked.

Haven't actually spoken with anyone yet,(they do not leave voice mails) but I've seen this number at least a dozen times since an order I placed for that Snuggie blanket on-line at the begining of Dec. Haven't seen the Snuggies, nor have I been charged, but if they can get your phone info, what's to stop them from obtaining the credit card info used for the purchase? Have gotten a lot of strange "AS SEEN ON TV" e-mails since that time as well as e-mail address was required for ordering. The CID always shows Guardian Comm.

I received a call from them on 1/16/09 @ 8PM. This person also had an Indian/Middle Eastern accent. He asked to speak with my wife. I asked who he represented and what the nature of the call regarded. He advised me it regarded her free $25 Wal-Mart giftcard. When I told him that she doesn't shop at Wal-Mart he disconnected the call.

We too placed an online order for the "Snuggie" blanket in December. We haven't received the blanket however, there have been two "pre-approved" charges made to our check card; the first was for $1.95 and the second was for $16.95. They were made by a company named PrimeTime. Their phone # is 866-469-6924. They have been contacted and after being required to get verbally forceful they did agree to credit our account back for the amount they had "stolen". They also agreed to cancel our subscription to their service. My wife and I have no idea what the subscription was for nor do we know how we managed to sign up for it.

Both company names and phone numbers have been reported to the BBB and will also be reported to Florida's Attorney General this week.

This number called me on 1/21/09, told me they wanted to send me a Walmart Gift card as a thank you for my purchase. He then asked if my address is correct.  I told them the address was wrong and what purchase was he referring to?  He hung up on me.  When I call the number back it says it is a marketing company.  I purchased Smoothaway as a gift in December.

I received a call from a Lady with an accent saying I would receive a $25 gift card on the behalf Walmart.  We all know that's a red Flag!  They knew my address, I don't know how.  I asked what this was really about, and they hung up.

Those foreign accents are from the Philippines!  This number belongs to EPIXTAR. Check out their site @ www.epixtar.com.  They are known as a business processing outsourcing.  In short, companies hire this call center to harass others.  So, WalMart, Shopping Essentials, and host of other sleeze ball companies KNOW this is going on.  Apparently, when you buy from one place, they basically hand over this information to a call center in an effort to pad their swollen pockets further.  I know that when I deal with online purchasing, I look for a clause that states my information will never be given to anyone else.  I guess I missed it with Shopping Essentials.  I tried to call this number today and had the chance to have my number removed.  I did this after reading what this call was about.  I had to laugh because I thought it might be a potential job interview.  Sad, huh?

I bought AquaGlobes online too, and have since been receiving calls from that same number!! I ask them REPEATEDLY to remove me from their list. I have tried being sweet and nice, firm and unrelenting, and also downright rude myself, and have gotten nowhere. They keep calling!! This is my cell phone they are calling and costing me minutes.

I don't know if it is related or not, but I got a call from my credit card's fraud department (same card I used to purchase the AquaGlobes), saying i had suspicious pending charges of $300 worth of shoes from Hibbetts Sporting Goods. Needless to say, I disputed the charges and cancelled that card.

I wish these people would leave me alone! I'm never buying any As-seen-on-TV products again over the internet.

Just thought of this.. Was trying to figure out what I bought online.. Smooth Away.... Ever since I have been getting calls from 2 numbers. I set one so when they call it wont ring, just show up as a missed call.. Getting ready to do the same with the other number. Pretty sad you cant buy something without being harrassed for it.

I ordered some snuggies recently.  I made sure to give them my GrandCentral number, which forwards to my cell phone number, instead of my actual cell phone number when placing my order for snuggies.  Low and behold.... I just recieved a hangup call from these people today....

I think they got my number when i purchased the "slim clip" thing online. Like i said I have never ever gotten calls like this until after i made that purchase.

I too received a call from this number.  They have called twice so far.  I only get a recorded message.  I have asked them to remove my number from their calling base.  I have been told by an automated system that it takes 30 days to remove us.
