Got my 5th call from about 15 min. ago.  When I told the guy not to call anymore that I did not want to talk to him he told me to shut up. I hung up.
After seeing the other posts about orders, I ordered a Snuggie for my mother a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah. At first I was receiving a call from a (616) 980-2178. My friend googled it and found out it was some telemarketer. They called twice a day for about a week and asked for someone who did not match my name. After about a week, the calls stopped, before I started receiving phone calls from this (231) 224-2009. They call about 3-4 times a day, and twice I've already politely told them to stop calling me. Not exactly sure why they would call me, since I haven't really bought anything anywhere, but needless to say, whoever is making these phone calls needs to seriously get a life/grow up!

231-224-2009 called my cell phone several days in a row. I don't answer unrecognizable numbers, so I never picked up. I eventually tried to call it back since the caller was so persistent, and I also got the "You've been contacted for direct marketing purposes" line. I was asked to type in the number I used to contact them, and the automated voice said they didn't recognize THAT number either. So when 231-224-2009 called back the next day, I picked up. A woman wanted to verify my name and address, to which I would not answer. She offered a WalMart gift/discount card. I interrupted her and said, "Ma'am, I had every intention of being removed from this list, so I'd appreciate it if you'd quit calling me." Of course, as everyone else says, she hung up on me. I've been so infuriated with this scam (there is no way this is legitimate). I'm just waiting for this "company" to call me back again. Believe me, I have something prepared to say to them... assuming they don't hang up first ;) And by the way, I also purchased a ridiculous "As Seen On TV" offer online - the embarrassingly silly Snuggie. I've learned my lesson! These are serious traps.

I got my first call from 231-224-2009 today but I wasn't there to answer.  I've never received these kinds of calls before on my cell, but a few weeks ago I ordered the Strap Perfect bra strap concealer online.  I hope I can get these calls stopped!

When I asked, they were calling on behalf of US Magazine.  I let my subscribtion lapse after YEARS, and I guess they're trying to get me back.

I ordered from Aqua Globes online a couple weeks ago and they just called my number too. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number on the phone. My husband told me to post...

Every day, every evening, every night.... They call and listen, then hang up.  It is happening with an 866 number also!
Now, they are also calling on my cell phone.
It's driving me crazy, I own a business and I really don't have time to fool around with this. Can't they be stopped?

I also received a call from a woman with a broken middle eastern accent. She asked for me by name, I asked who it was and she said Jolene? I'm not sure. I am almost positive this has something to do with ordering "bumpits" over the internet two weeks ago. I'll N-E-V-E-R buy anything as-seen-on tv, online anymore!

I ordered Smoothe Away for my wife.(thats the last time)And I just got a call telling me about the Walmart card too. When I said "no", I was called an a@#hole and told they were taking $100.00 and then hung up. I found that the carrier for this number is Lucre Inc., they are out of Fremont MI. I have notified my bank as well as my lawer. This is a huge scam. And the guy I talked to....his nme was John.

I got a call from 231-224-2009 and 714-607-5759 and 205-527-6024. they all are rude and English is not their first language. I don't answer the first call, I answered the second call and informed them before they can say a word 'put me on your do not call list'. His only responce was ok. So let us ee if this stops the calls.

I got a call from this number and they hung up after I aknowledged it was me.

I think they are trying to get a recording of you saying something to twist in a fake phone sale.  I would check all my credit card statements carefully.

Also I made the mistake of calling back the number after they hung up and got a recorded voice.  I think that confirms my identity to them as a living person who can be spammed.

Rude @ss B@stards! I called the number back and had both my number and my husbands number removed... neither of us have ever bought anything off the internet, nor did we order anything from the TV and yet we've gotten several calls each, and when my husband tried to talk to them, they would actually tell him to shut the hell up and listen!! I wish there was a way to to really report these people, I may try the BBB, but who knows.... pretty sad that this has been going on since 2007!! (I've read the older posts as well)

It started about a week ago.  They call my cell at all hours.  I normally just hang up when I hear them start talking but still annoying that they keep calling.

    Funny Answer
I have a somewhat funny way to respond to these people:
When they call me (which has happened a few times) I just tell them I am busy at the moment and I will call them later. Then ask them their home phone number so you can contact them when you get a chance. It will take a couple tries to clarify to whomever you are talking to what you are asking, usually b/c they will have a slight to moderately strong accent and culture barrier. Then when they get a little nervous ask them for their employee ID number. Usually they get even more nervous and proceed to tell you a number that is strangely rounded - today the guy's number was 1300. Exactly 1300... little fishy! Then tell the person you will just contact their supervisor for their information and call them at home. From here they will get a little more nervous and sort of defensive because they are now the victim in the situation. Make sure you do it confidently, acting as though you are a person who is very capable of getting their information. The more confidently you ask, the faster they hang up on you. I've been hung up on three times now. It may be mean for us to turn the tables and make them the victim. Most of them are little more than trained monkeys who have no idea we can't get into their lives. Poor things. But when they have all of my information, and all they want now is my bank account number it kind of freaks me out. So, in conclusion,  let's use our problem-solving capabilities and our 'westernized' culture to flip the situation and make jokes at the person who calls you right in front of his/her face. It embarrasses them, which  makes you a 'call lister' who they won't want to call because they are demeaning. Being unlisted didn't work, but being a demeaning 'call lister' is worse for them. OK, OK I shouldn't rant about this b/c it's giving a third world country with service that costs these greedy US companies minimal amounts. It's just their job to call us. But the fact that these companies exploit the weaknesses of people is scary. Especially the older, non-technologically savvy, people who are sitting ducks. Please, let's not be victims anymore and be careful!

I hate these people. They were giving me a $25 gift card and a discount card and after 30 days i would have to pay like $10. I was asking a very direct question and all he could do was try to keep me on the ohone. When I said I didn't want it he started calling me names or at lest he thought I was calling him names. Whatever. I would like to know who the superviser name is and the phone number to make a complaint. These people are rip offs....Beward!!!

Shopping Essentials. Very shady - google it. The rep claimed he was calling on behalf of wal-mart & wanted to give me a gift card. I caught him in several inconsistencies and he hung up. I'm curious who sold my info to them. I closed my credit card just in case...
