This number called and tried to get me to access various files on my computer claiming to be from Windows. Then, when I refused on the grounds that they failed to identify themselves properly, called me a [***] and hung up. I immediately contacted Microsoft's UK office in Reading who have confirmed that this call did not originate from a genuine Microsoft office and was a hoax/malicious caller. I have reported this number to Microsoft. I understand that the +233 dialing code is Ghana.

I get the same caller today. He said i need belive him. I said no i dont, because everyone can make the same. I hang up and call polis and send messenger fore Microsoft about this.

I got a phone call from them too. Asking me to  go on my files because my computer send them a message of "online infection" and they were from Windows, I asking them to remove me from they phone call list and rudely asked the reason, that i had to give them a good reason for it, so I hung up. BIG SCAMMM

Call shows up as name unavailable 233-378-555 so I answer it saying hello several times b4 I hear a computerized female voice announce 'goodbye' and terminates call connection. Yesterday I received a call identified as 800-service 253-820- 308 when I answered it was the same as todays call from233-378-555. However when. I called yesterdays # back it says my call cannot b completed as dialed but when I called the # back from todays call its a male voice that does NOT sound computerized saying ' the # u dialed is un-allocated' then call ends.

I received a call about this a couple of minutes ago. I missed a call earlier and googled it which lead me to this website. The person claimed they were from Microsoft and there was something wrong with my computer. I told him I didn't have a computer, and they hung up.

This number called me i answered telling him they've called wrong number guy kept reading his script so i got loud he told me to shut up n listen to him when i asked for supervisor he said everyone was sleeping he had a thick indian accent when i told him i would file charges for being harassed he kept saying listen to me listen to me

I got this call three times yesterday and again today. If I pick it no one speaks and it disconnects after few sec. Also as this is just 9 digit number I cant callback to check. Any idea what is this?

Keeps calling me after I've registered with the government do not call list

they have called me as well. Now they call asking about diabetes supplies and receiving a free meter. They said they were with the american diabetes association. I called them and said they have been having several complaints about this scam.

I have been getting calls for months now saying that I have downloaded malicious software on my computer.  I finally told the caller that I would be contacting my Lawyer and the calls finally stopped for a period of time.  Just last week, they started back again.  Being on the no call list does not work.

I have been receiving these calls since mid September for a while saying that (1) my software had been compromised and that Microsoft has authorized them to fix it or  2) that GMIITS has gone out of business and they need to refund me my money.  Each time they are asking for my credit card number.    I then told them that I would be calling the police and my lawyer if they did not stop calling.  It stopped for about 2 weeks - this morning they called at 3AM (eastern time) and was advised not to call again.

I did not answer the call if they think no one is home then they will get to meet my pit bull

I talked to them for 30 minutes, got transferred to a supervisor, than to a senior supervisor, then to a super senior supervisor...all the while trying to explain why my computer is in the bathroom, and how I flush my "Trojans" down the toilet. It was quite entertaining.....I hope they call back.

Just received a call from this number. Claimed he was from windows. and that I had downloaded some malicious software. And he started to try to get me to give him access to my computer remotely. Ask them this question what version windows am I running if they can't tell you that then do not do anything they ask. Because Windows will know what version you are running. at all times.

I received a call from this number and he wanted to know if we did balance sheets I transfered him to one of our staff members and he rang back to me,  He then started to tell me that i was beautiful and wanted to know if I could cum for him.  I hung up from him.  He then called back and wanted to ask me some very personal questions which I refused to answer.  He then asked me that if he called back would i F**K him.  I then told him that if he called back I would call the police and trace his call.  He did call me back, but i answered thank you for calling the police department, and that i was tracing the number as we spoke.  He promptly hung up and has not called again.

I received a call from 233-378-555 today talking about I downloaded some files that had viruses.  The man stated that he was calling from Microsoft.  I asked him where is he calling from and he stated New York.  Bottomline.....it is a scam!
